The empress should have been the final boss in aliens dark decent. Would have made perfect sense. Multiple queens on the planet. Would have been awesome to see.
@@cavdrkz24 she doesn’t reside on the same planet and I only said this because I trunk if they told that story we could understand how they can make complex alien ships to travel. It’s still unknown
@damien1781 true. I think it would have been sweet to see the entire xeno heirarchy in a game. I mean i get why they didnt in this one. But would have been a fantastic ending personally.
@@cavdrkz24 No no they were building up a Queen Mother with all of the physic flashes the one marine and his daughter were having. The Queen Mothers are the only ones known for having the ability to "communicate" with other life forms and this is done either by dreams or a more direct approach which is noticeable through random headaches. This was seen in the Earth Wars (or something similar) comics.
an empress could be thought of as the mother of the group think about it, its all one big family the queen mother is the mother of the whole lot the empress is the mother of multiple queens the queen is the mother of a hive it makes sense however they did, the xeno's found themselves off world away from the queen mother - so, one of the many children of the queen mother became a queen herself and laid eggs after the hive was big enough, those children of the empress went off to become queens themselves these xeno's then become queens themselves - and the cycle repeats for a different version, think of it like rank the queen mother is the general the empress is the captain the queen is the sergeant the xenomorphs are the rank and file soldiers
The Empress' design could have been a little more creative, just looks like a spikier, more jagged and aged Queen. The thumbnail of the video looked more interesting and I sadly can't find it's source.
with compatition its smart to develop rituals through which you prove youre better but wihtout killing because killing technicly weakens youre overall species, normaly its good to keep balance for enuf resources but i dont think exanomorphs eat so i dont think they need to be concerned with that.
i always wonder if Human can build spaceship and have robot size mech why not built a mech with big guns and missile and flamethrower? Also, if they have android couldn't they just sent some weapon android that is built for combat to the hive or let them scout ahead so the human has a higher chance to survive or knows what going on before going in. But hey that just me thinking what i will do if i was a human that to fight those creature O_O, also Lost Planet game taught me that idea since i ride giant Mech fighting big Bugs.
I think the word "Queen" is only used to allude to how ants or bees reproduce. This comparison is true only socially for the Aliens, but likely not biologically. I don't think there are male or female individuals for Xenomorphs. I think they don't have biological sex at all. The Earth creatures have two sexes to combine male and female genes when creating offspring. But Xenomorphs don't really combine the genes between two Xenomorph individuals. They combine the genes between the Queen and the host. Because the host DNA affects what the Alien that bursts out of chest will look like. The host's biological sex doesn't matter. And because this combination is sufficient to change the genome of the offspring, I doubt any other fertilization is needed.
They already did, and it was established that the King was noticeably weaker than the Queen. The King was strong, and man-made, but ultimately not as clever as the Queen, so he was killed by the original variants.
@@shaqatwinters3180 I believe there was a male hybrid, but I don’t know if there was a king in any of the movies. I was referring to an Alien’s comic from years ago.
That's the weakness. No queen no hive. Tyranid has only 1 mind, the hive mind shares its synapse with different leader which will not fight each other as its all 1 mind. Tyranid wins in terms of galactic scale invasion, standing army and uses guns that shoots live bioorganic life form
Well yeah but they also live in a universe with much more competition on A galactic scale Most fictional universes lose to anything from warhammer were an empire of man takes a being like the master chief or doomguy And mass producers in the billions And still struggles because of all the absurd stuff in that universe
Even if there’s no queen, a hive can be made lmao Drones or pretty much any caste can just egg morph And this is expended in avp universe cause of female Pred aliens that can become queens sooooo
Well AVP is dead... but um there's 12 queens in aliens dark descent no empress or queen mother but there is a massive xeno on two arms that pulls itself around on it's tail like a snake can't be killed kind of stupid. I guess the giant aliens underground the xenos evolved to lay much larger eggs that only work on the giants.. so there could be even larger queens or egg sacs..
This kind of BS in the "extended universe" really degrades the franchise as a whole. Its a schoolyard logic of "whats better than a queen, an empress". Aliens were much more believably "alien" when their species was based on how insect hives functioned as a superorganism. Not this "king, queen, empress queen mother" BS.
Bee hives can have multiple Queens, you know, in actual real life. So maybe you don't know quite as much about insect hives and how they function as you think you do.
@@SA80TAGE where did I say they couldn't have more than one? I was criticising the "tiering" system... In nature, if there is a two or three queen hive, one queen is not subordinate to the other. Perhaps you should think efore you mouth off?
That’s the thing, their aliens, their not supposed to be understood, they shouldn’t even have a queen in the 1st place In my personal opinion, I preferred when they used egg morphing to reproduce, and born from the space jockey ship in the 1st movie, living bio weapon batteries that’s capable of mass extinction on a planet level, once their done, their die cause they only live for a single day, once their Dead, boom, fresh new planet for the space jockeys.
Not impressive enough..there are millions of Xenomorphs with 01 Queen per hive..there could be thousands of Queens throughout the galaxy..the Empress is an evolved Queen who looks after the Queens and hives in a single planet..but she ain't no Xenomorph Monarch..cuz there is only 01 King, 01 Matriarch and 01 Queen Mother of the entire species.
About that....,there very well could be multiple kings, but do note, they are not officially in canon anywhere, and no, the "Rogue" doesn't count. we get a slideshow toy figure as the official art for it, thats how little is known about kings. what we *do* know is they have bladed tendrils and enhanced regeneration if they start eating a bunch, and are typically the same size as a queen (though a later toy model suggests they are Queen Mother sized, which is preposterous) tl;dr: there is likely more than 1, but they only exist in the largest hives..likely when an Empress is already active over subservient queens
