@TheStyleStumbler There are so many factors to consider that tend to be personal preference: 1. Flavor/Scent (mint, fruit, honey, chocolate, candy, ect) 2. To plump or not to plump 3. Viscosity (thick goop or thin and runny and everything in between) 4. Applicator (big doe foot, small doe foot, squeeze tube, jar) 5. Longevity (soak right in or stay on through hot wings) 6. Packaging (some leak over time, clog, and depending on temperature (freeze, crack or explode) 7. Price 8. Opacity 9. Texture (some shimmer can get gritty, and some can get super sticky regardless of it’s viscosity) 10. Are you trying to make a lip oil be a gloss, a balm, a lip mask, an spf, a lip treatment, or even a lip serum? (Some are hybrid formulas, but it’s really about what you want it to do) 11. I require more data to proceed 🤣
@@beautyandthebeaker OMG I love the way your brain works!!!! 1. I prefer fragrance free or sweet scents (vanilla, chocolate, sugar) 2. No plumping, please! 3. Medium viscosity: As long as the formula feels smooth and elegant & wears well, I'm not that picky. 4. Applicator: doe foot or squeeze tube. 5. Longevity medium. (As long as I don't constantly feel the need to reapply it, I'm flexible) 6. Super solid packaging - should be sturdy and never break, explode, or leak. 7. Although I'd prefer to pay as little as possible, price is irrelevant if a product is truly superior. 8. Opacity: low. 9. No grit, not too sticky 10. Main purpose: a pretty lip balm. Shine is an added plus, but not necessary.
