I'm from Detroit, and I know the Tigers train in Lakeland, FL. BTW, if you're ever in Detroit, you have to have a Buddy's Pizza, famous here. I'd treat. They have several restaurants in our area.
This brought back MANY memories. I had a stroke in 2001. During my recovery, I went to an Atlantic league game of the Bridgeport Bluefish. What a summer!!!!
You bought back memories of the Watertown Wizards. NY. I took my two boys so many times. Gave them free rain to run the grounds with their gloves. Hot dogs and popcorn. They ran after so many balls. Just good times.
Minor league ball..life is good! They may have built it and did NOT come, but that gives you a better chance to get a baseball. Always get excited for your ballpark (& hot dog) videos!
Thank goodness for those afternoon showers! It keeps the FL asphalt from melting. Probably too hot for a mascot, though I’m interested to see what a flying tiger mascot would look like. Decent attendance for a Tuesday evening game. When you were showing the game ball it made me think back to old school Universal and Angela Lansbury ripping the casing off the “ball” (black pearl) at the Murder, she Wrote soundstage. Hard to believe that 6 years ago, August 24, 2015, you were standing in your front yard in Orange County, CA, filming the start of your infamous return to the most magical place on earth on August 25, 2015.
I really miss going to baseball games. They really are a load of fun and it's what you make of it really. I used to be an Astros fan in 2005 when the Killer Bs were active but then I realized I was a Lance berkman fan and followed the teams he played with. Now I'm a Cardinals fan... funnily enough in 2005 the Cardinals were the enemy hahaha. But dang I really just love baseball
I didn't know our Detroit Tigers practiced there! How neat! I love these baseball games even though I'm not into baseball myself. I'm glad you're having fun!
Had never seen a minor league game before. Hope you’re going to hang onto those baseballs. Great seeing the game close up like that. Who says you can’t have a favorite minor league baseball team ? Like how they have the ballpark set up. I’m sure they appreciate everyone who comes out to cheer them on. Glad to learn who started the Publix stores. Shopped in Publix when we would be staying where one is. It’s a great store. So glad you went to this game. New fun experience. Thank you.
These teams need more support. Baseball tickets are normally very affordable and family fun friendly. Plus as ATW knows, the stadium hotdog can’t be beat.
I love Minor league game's. I live within driving distance of a single A and a triple A team. My kids have come home with a lot of balls over the last 10 years.
Watching this reminded me of the lean years of attendance for San Diego Padres home games. I remember when the crowd was 1,000 plus. Shameful for major leagues.
That's a nice stadium! It was cool you each got a souvenir ball! 🥎 It didn't seem like 295 people maybe some people bought tickets online but didn't show up from the rain and they counted them
I grew up going to minor league baseball games we just don't have Major league baseball here in the Louisville Kentucky area, you have to drive long hours to get to a major league like reds game or St. Louis game.⚾🏟️. But we do have the Louisville Slugger Baseball factory/ Museum downtown Louisville, they also make the hockey sticks.
Major League Baseball has been buying the minor league teams over the last dozen years. They now control the minor leagues to the point they cut out about 40 teams. They raise the prices and kill off the teams that can't survive in their business world. Sadly many cities have lost their teams. More will in the future. Let's hope baseball then comes back on a more grassroots level and Adam is there to document it. Great work Adam.
you three just made the whole experience more fun; good times, a nice looking stadium, players working and dreaming of higher leagues, weather, LOL, how do you guys do it??
Growing up in Detroit and being a Tiger Fan it's a must to make a pilgrimage to Joker Marchant Stadium for spring training and hoping to achieve one day myself. Also you would good Adam in the old English D hat hope to see you vlogging Comerica Park on day Enjoy your ball vlogs Adam
This might be one of my favorite Adam the Woo videos of all time. The wave, the tarp removal, the empty stadium, and Adam’s first M(inor)LB foul ball(s) - oddly mesmerizing!!! The canteen must’ve gone through a whole six pack of weiners yesterday. 🌭
Tampa Jay: "Do you want to recreate that?" ATW (instant response): "No!" Made me laugh out loud. I love going to minor league games where there is low attendance. Almost always come home with a ball or two! Fun vlog today! Thanks Adam!
They try to tell Us it’s not popular But yet Players are making more than ever and attendance records are being set all over Baseball , especially MLB. Only Tampa & Oak Town have really bad attendance & Oakland wants bad attendance so they can move or get a new stadium either way. The Reds attendance is down this yr but that’s also the fault of the ownership.
I so enjoyed this! You guys doing the wave gave me much needed laughter so thank you for that, it made me so happy you catching that ball! Thanks for taking !e away!!!!
Those that have ever worked for Publix know him as Mr. George. He definitely had the right ideas when it came to treating customers as family. Something lost in today’s world.
This was different! I liked that stadium, very relaxed yet modern and the food seems much more reasonably priced and it looked good. The not so good? It's Flordia - haha - rain, humidity and bugs (that would do it for me).
A lot of these guys playing in low A ball are just teenagers just starting their ball careers. Most of them live with host families because they are still young.
We actually attended a Spring Training game there (against the Yankees) this past March! Although we are Braves fans, this was the closest game being played to WDW. A great all around stadium and the Tiger's merchandise was not bad at all. Scored a great hat!
I enjoyed this vlog. It was a minor league game (really enjoy the minor league games). Enjoyed watching the three of you doing the wave. I was surprised you got two baseballs.
Adam you have proven that you can't beat fun at the ole ball park! Nice to see the old Adam returning to his roots and sharing some Americana with us devoted followers! No more Disney for awhile OK Adam! As always my friend stay safe and travel on! Travel on indeed!
