A boy from my school sang this,I cried so much he was absolutely brilliant, he did change some of the words but I found it more emotional cause of the words he used
Precisely. That's what it's all about. If we can't deliver it, then what's the point of producing it? You can write the best song in the world but if the world never hears it...it's for nought.
There's a grief that can't be spoken, There's a pain goes on and on. Empty chairs at empty tables, Now my friends are dead and gone. Here they talked of revolution, Here it was they lit the flame, Here they sang about tomorrow and tomorrow never came. From the table in the corner, They could see a world reborn, And they rose with voices ringing, And I can hear them now The very words that they have sung Became their last communion On this lonely barricade, at dawn. Oh my friends, my friends forgive me That I live and you are gone There's a grief that can't be spoken, And there's a pain goes on and on Phantom faces at the window, Phantom shadows on the floor, Empty chairs at empty tables where my friends will meet no more. Oh my friends, my friends don't ask me What your sacrifice was for Empty chairs at empty tables Where my friend will sing no more.
Everyday walk with longer , steps , you walk with stronger steps, the worst is over Everyday , I wonder everyday , who ws it brought me here , from the barricade Don't think about it Marius , with all the years ahead of us , I will never go away and we will be together every day
There's a grief that can't be spoken There's a pain goes on and on Empty chairs at empty tables Now my friends are dead and gone Here they talked of revolution Here it was they lit the flame Here they sang about tomorrow And tomorrow never came From the table in the corner They could see a world reborn And they rose with voices ringing And I can hear them now! I'm a soprano and I made it to the final of a local talent contest with this song. Please can I use this version for the final in October? How do I get an mp3 from you?
@@LeifRyd Exactly. They're not fast but show up too late for the person who needs to read them in time. Whoever did this video didn't know how a karaoke works nor tried it before uploading it.
Jaki żal niewysłowiony Jaki przejmujący ból Pusty stół i puste krzesła Mych przyjaciół nie ma już Tu wzniecili rewolucję Rozpalili w sercach żar Choć śpiewali tu o jutrze Jutro zgasło Wśród tych ścian Przy tym stole, w tej kawiarni Zobaczyli lepsze dni Zaśpiewali głosem jasnym I nadal słyszę ich Bo wyśpiewali sobie tren Ostatnie namaszczenie Gdy wstał nad barykadą świt Och, wybaczcie przyjaciele Co ja bez Was robię tu? Jaki żal niewysłowiony, jaki przejmujący ból Wasze duchy krążą wkoło I upiorny tańczy cień Pusty stół i puste krzesła Już nie spotkam Was tu, wiem Przyjaciele nie rozumiem Jaki był ofiary cel Pusty stół i... krzesła puste I na zawsze zgasł Wasz śpiew...
I opened this video and I IMMEDIATELY recognised the Dutch cast xD I've seen that pic so many times mwahahah :P And it's an awesome karaoke, might I use it for an audition? :)
I sang 2:05 - 3:10 for one of my rehearsals and Samantha Pauly was the teacher, j got very emotional singing this because eof stuff I've gone through and I started crying, when I looked at the audience, 6 out of 10 people were crying, including Samantha Pauly
I love this video. Im not a great singer but have been pretty much self taught. But i love to sing and this video has helped me with the timing. Thank you. Xx
Don't argue about the key, it starts in A major, moves to C major at the end of the second line. The key signatures for these keys are the same so you could argue both.
Thanks for your reaction. According to the videomessages I got from several users it isn't a big issue. . . Besides that, a karaoke-video is just a lead of how it can be sung. I hope everyone makes his own interpretation. If you look/listen at several performances of mr Ball, you will see that his timing is always slightly different too.
Thanks for letting me know. And thanks for your friendly comment! Too bad that I can't find it anywhere. . . would really like to hear your (soprano) version. I'll be uploading several new karaoke's so do come back to check them out! Greets
I just uploaded my own version using this backing track. I'm too scared to post it to Facebook because I think my work mates won't get it. Let me know if its any good haha 😄
You can convert it to MP3 straight from RU-vid for free. Just google ‘RU-vid to MP3 converter’ and click on any one of the links (they all do the same thing).
Thanks for your nice comment! I am dutch, so maybe that explains the background I used ;-) Sure you can use it, but please keep in mind that I don't own any rights. . .
Nikdy jsem tu bolest neznal, bohužel teď už ji znám, prázdný stůl i židle prázdné, přátelé proč jsem tu sám? Tady v nás ten oheň vzplanul, slovu ZÍTRA šli jsme vstříc, dnes to slůvko krutý cenzor pokřivil na nikdy víc. Tady sedal v koutě Grantaire, Enjolras i Jean Prouvert, tady z víry čin se rodil a možná s ním i strach.
Yeah, I removed it to create a new one, because I'm finally getting over being sick after about a month and a half and the sound was kind of strained.=) I'll put it back up soon.
Holy shit, I thought I wasn’t able to hit those deep notes, turns out, i was! (I’m an alto, for anyone who wonders why I was shocked, i knew I could go low, but didn’t know that I could go this low)
If downloading doesn't work or the quality is not what you've expected, just send me a message (with your own email-address) and I'll send you the MP3 version. Greetz, Wil
Hello Guitarsandsounds, I just pik-up this beautiful song for my perfomance. I want to dedicadet to you. I hoppe you enjoided, like me. Best regards to you, Juan.
Is it weird the hardest note for me to sing when I started this song at beging of rehearsals for our show was "became" a bit into the song .. and now I can belt all of it and I cry every time and so does my teacher ?

No its not acutally. I believe that if you listen to the Micheal Ball version of emty chairs at emty tables, its got the same pitch as the Kareoke version (also taking in consideration that Micheal Ball version is the original pitch)
SAS266 I re-listened to it...and yes you are correct. However, in the score, it lists the song in two keys. I'm inclined to think the composers preferred the higher key...but the song does go low, maybe they prefer the lower key, but include the higher one in case the tenor can't sing so low. It is good that they include two versions since it has such a wide range.
