yet another excellent cover! i have to say that i love your taste in music. Damien Rice and Ray Lamontagne! Excellent. i listened to this one and just closed my eyes and listened!
What I love about your rendition is how sort of matter a factly you sing it. There's a subtlety to your voice that contrasts with the lyrics beautifully. You made me pay attention.
Great job man...Really enjoyed this.. Good to be able to see the guitar also... Hasd the pleasure of seeing Ray last night... the guys voice is a gift..amazing
Seen Ray in Liverpool he did this song, first time i,d heard it n straight away i loved it. You did it amazingly well mate great voice when i improve on my guitar i,m gonna try n post a version of it with as many other of Rays songs i can learn. Well done.
You sound great! I was hesitant to even listen to a cover, because I just love this song by Ray Lamontagne, and he has such an amazing raw voice, but you really sound great.
This is one of the first videos I saw and said, "fuck, this guy is pitch perfect, how the hell am I supposed to do this" while I was just learning how to sing. Now I've been singing for like a year and I just came back to visit and I'm still saying "fuck". lol. Excellent cover my friend.
mate i've just been to see ray last night, he was playing in glasgow. this was his 2nd song that he played, feck me you play it well, its a class song and you have done it well he also played a song at the end he said it was a new one that he had just wrote "you are the best thing that has happened to me" again class song, keep it up
Still amazing after all these years, Rob. I’ve come to see now that you’re wearing an Ol 97s band shirt in this. I didn’t know who they were back then. Wonder if you’d grace us with a cover of Weightless sometime. Be well, brother. And thanks again for the sounds.
Hey. Thanks for the comment. The second fret is the right key that the original is in, but i just do it on the first so it's in a key i can sing in. F-C-Am-E-G are the chords.
I don't know what to say. Dude, you killed it. Amazing. I love Ray's original and your version almost rivals it. Maybe even better in spots. WELL FN DONE!!!
dude, you have a got a real goo voice. you should be famous, like seriously. i'm used to seeing people with pretty bad voices on youtube, but your voice caught me of guard. nice job man.
I know you would do a great cover of Gary Jules' Mad world. Would really like to hear you doing that song. I guest this is a request, thanx. I have commented how good you are for this cover long time ago
great stuff. you play it different than i do. i need to learn your way. i like what you add right before 'walk on down the hill' thanks for the close up of your hand. big help. if you have your tab handy, could you send it to me? thanks!
Thanks for the note. I use the normal F, but i use my thumb to hold the low E string. It's just an easier transition than trying to bar the F. Good luck.

Not sure the strumming...i sorta just do it by ear, and i think it's close. And it goes from an Am to a walkdown to an F for the intro. And thanks for the nice comments.
Excellent job!! I love this tune....You've got great voice control....Have you figured out the chords to Till the Sun Turns Black by any chance? I can't find the tabs online anywhere....Nice job bro!
@bizzgerm Hey. Thanks....i'm sorry, but i'm not sure how to write out the strumming pattern. I just kinda listen to the cd and try to copy it? Sorry if that's not much help.
Ya for sure..that was legit. real good job. I didnt get any counting crow vibe, i probably got more of a uh phantom of the opera vibe...wheres your face? thats cool if your tryin to hide it. i dont have any feet, and i have dinosaour arms. wellp see ya
