I remember when Lakeside Mall was being constructed and the first day it opened, you couldn't find a parking spot. During Christmas, we would have to park across the circle on the grass.
Now the mall is going to be torn down and redeveloped as a town center.
They do have a drive in movie theatre in the parking lot and have an upcoming Taylor Swift look a like contest.
Calvin Johnson will be at the mall to sign sports memorabilia on December 16, 2023.
Lakeside Mall will close for good on July 1, 2024. Most of the mall will be demollished to make way for a new development called Town Center, that will feature offices, restaurants, condos and apartments.
