Thanks! I was having a hell of a time figuring out the chords in the bridge. I kept listening to Kingfish live version and wondering what the hell are they doing right there.
Thanks ! IMO, whatever works best for you is how you should play . Technique and proper fingerings, etc can be important and needed at times; however, when it comes to expressing yourself, play it how you want to play it . Feel is everything in music . Playing how and what feels right to you is what will make your sound and music you which can be imitated to an extent but not duplicated to the T . It’s the subtle differences in placement that make us all unique . Keep it up !
Sebastian Traxler you are very welcome . the best way is either with your thumb or your ring finger unless you play the full 6 string chord with the added fifth on the 12th fret A string .
Man I just bought my first guitar because of this song. And I’m having a hella tough time even grasping the thought of an upside down keyboard in my hands
This song is stout for sure . Simple but very powerful . Hmm, That is an interesting thought to explore . I hope your practicing is going well . You just have to be patient and consistent . In time, it’ll all come together . I’m still trying to grasp a lot of concepts and theory myself . Always more to learn so do your best to stay hungry !
That chord where you hold all 10th fret strings, and the A-string on the 12th fret with your ringfinger....i just cant seem to physically do that AND let all the string ring out. Any tips?
Forget about the ring finger on the 12 fret and bar the 10th fret . Becomes a minor 9 used religious in R&b .. may be a bit easier to play . Hope it helps !
William Hott nice ! I like mine too . It has a good feel, the neck is pretty comfortable in the hand . I’m a fan of the maple necks; I had always wanted one . On the other hand, I have a squier 60’s classic vibe I play in most of my other vids and it plays amazingly in my opinion . It’s something about it that I would choose to play it over many of the fenders . I appreciate your encouragement . I am trying to grow as a musician . There is a lot I do not know when it comes to music and theory, but I will do my best to learn it and also share with you all through out the journey . One of the best things you can do as a musician is learn the theory behind what you are playing I believe . It will take you much further than your ear can alone in a lot of cases ..
I’ve just started experimenting with writing tabs .. looking at different software . I’ve had a few request for tabs so it’s something I will try to do also . Appreciate the patience and support
