In this video, I demonstrate how to empty the cloth bag on a vintage Kirby. It is best to do this outdoors for sanitary reasons. Sometimes the weather doesn't permit, though. You can do it indoors, but the nozzle must stay on the paper and you just shake the bag more gently. Since I am outdoors, I shake the hell out of it. You may have to do it more than once in order to remove all the debris.
