something something popular champion quota as an akali main i really wish they'd put her in a skinline where she actually fits and not just for marketability, coven and empyrean have both felt like pretty huge misses lol

Yeah it is annoying. I used to like pre reworkes akali and tried to like current, but I feel like most of her post kda skins they been shoving in and not trying to make something of her being in whatever line it is.
these skins are in time for MSI which Akali is also getting buffed right before, probaly because they want to see her played at the tournament. Empyrean Akali is the only one I didn't really like in this line, the skin draws attention to her hair and weapons and just leaves the rest of her looking bland. Awesome recall though
(wanting to see her at MSI isn't a good reason for ANOTHER Akali skin, it just explains why she was shoehorned in/rushed when really a well executed Empyrian Akali could be really sweet)

Honestly, the last akali skins are so pointless. The legendary is just too good and some previous epic skins as well (kda, project with chromas etc). Idk
There's an 80% chance she'll be in every skin line every release so just expect it. If she's already in it? She has a 20% chance to back as a re-lease for it as prestige later.

As a Kayle main the new skins are pretty solid. Sun-eater was good, but these are just amazing. One of the huge issues kayle has had with skins is diversity. Many of them just never had anything that set them apart. The high neon contrast from the dark base suit & amazing visual and audio sound effects make this a really good skin. I’m still waiting for the lore to decide how I like it. But I’d say these are my 3rd favorite kayle skins. Silver Kayle -> Dragon -> PEmpyrean -> Empyrean Honestly the prestige feels a little weak, but it’s difficult to make it work in the first place. Crystals on a skin with already neon and black is a difficult placement. The ult looks crisp but besides that there isn’t much change. I do like the hair though, so it’s not too much of a disappointment.
Sound effects are insane and all but I never could learn to love empyrean skinline, to me this skinline is pain to play against due to how every single one of them are just neon lights slapped on top of black suit which makes it hard to tell who the hell I am playing against.
The best part of Akali is definitely her recall and shroud form, and HERE her hair glows as it should! Why in Coven Akali her hair not glow even when thay was supposed to glow in concepts, it makes her shroud form much more distinct with simple color change, yet they fcked it up in Coven. Compared to all other champions here you can see how little vfx Akali has, sure passive wasn't showed but still her effects are so fast, small and subtle that unless you play it on 0.25 speed you can't see shiet
It's probably the coolest part about the skin which isnt saying much since the recalls are a lot of what people pay for in a skin. Her effects are just underwhelming compared to the others. Cool sound design, but that's across the whole skinline.
