great ideas you have here! i wonder , does the panning in the first video uses anything more then the patch on the matrix? and when triggering the envelope with the drum machine , did you use the custom cable (through the gate cable?)
The panning is done solely through the patch matrix. I just patched OSC3 to one of the channel gain inputs. For the drum machine triggering, I patched a cable from the trig-out on my Kawai R-100 to the trig pin on the Cinch-Jones connector on the Synthi. I already had a cable (the one shown with the black, orange, and yellow wires) with the Cinch-Jones connector on one end, and 1/8" jacks on the other end. I had to use a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter on the R-100.
The panning isn't actually true panning. OSC3 simply varies the gain on the left channel, turning it up-and-down. The gain on the right channel is fixed.
