We took a tour around Ethunzini, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's newest township. What we found was not surprising for Bulawayo's recent township construction projects. The township lacks proper sanitation and water management systems, the township does not have a clinic, schools or proper business center. However, we found the residents cheerful and making due with their less than favorable conditions. Many residents of Emthuzini own their stands and homes, stands can cost somewhere between $5,000 - $7,000USD and completely built homes can cost around $20,000 - $40,000. There are many opportunities the local and city governments can do to improve the township, if not, it is still open to astute entrepreneurs to spearhead the construction of business and service centers.
