Some say this was made using some clever editing and Josh is still in the creek trying to lift the T7. This is some real content for ya! This is what adventure riding is all about. Great stuff!
Now that’s what I call an adventure, from overgrown track clearing to crazy water crossings to running maintenance to narly hill climbsand finishing with a few beers and a fire, bloody awesome 🤙😎
Loved this. Epic video. A perfect balance of riding, to camera, and story - Ya nailed it. Please be careful riding on your own Josh. You are doing increasingly hard riding and riding pretty darn fast at times. You have a lot on your mind lately - leave a tiny bit in reserve. I hate to sound like a Nanna, but just being a boring voice of reason out here :) Keep it shiny side up-ish. Look forward to more of this adventure. Your NZ Fan, Cam :)
Thanks mate I appreciate it, good to know some random bloke in another country that I've never met cares if I live or die 😁 You're a good egg Cam cheers 🍻
Hello Josh, well nothing better than to kick back and watch your Adventures, lots of fun, that creek crossing and dropping the bike was difficult, and you recovered quite well, very resourceful . Thanks for sharing, be happy... David...Adelaide..Tiger 900GT & Scrambler.....
@@iSim0641 I loved that - old man stuff that. Thinking you did something stupid with something important, like a tool, phone or wallet, only to realise you were sensible but forgot you were sensible... LOL
What an awesome vid! While 99% of Brisbane adventure bike riders are riding on a highway to a bakery, your doing this! btw i carry a crowbar with me its super handy for moving large boulders or rocks out of the way.
Bloody awesome adventure Josh, and it shows you're committed to the RU-vid thing, keeping the cameras rolling when the shit hits the fan is hard to do. I just want to get out of the predicament ASAP. Awesome effort . Hey your not old, I'm Old, 63 next birthday. 🤣🤣
Yeah I have learnt that lesson Jethro, first instinct is to shut down the filming and just take care of business but so many times I've regretted doing that and missed a lot of interesting content. Shit is always gonna be shit, might as well capture it and entertain others with it 😁 I won't even know my own name when I'm 63 the way I'm going mate.
Great video! You had me at "... lines of death". I wasn't expecting it to almost happen though. Falling in those rocks was gnarly. Thanks for your observation of Remembrance Day. 👍
That end bit of the creek crossing was a bloody steep step up. Man, unless you've recorded an obstacle/step-up on action cam and then watched it back, you just don't understand how steep it is in real life.
Definitely adventure time, with that lantana stopping forward progress, then a dip in the creek, thought you'd be there for days 😲 but you still made it on time . Made me thirsty just watching. Top effort mate . Cheers 🍻
Thanks boss, fkn dying out there on 30 deg days I dunno how I'm gonna handle it when it starts getting proper hot 😬 Plenty of 💦 & 🍻 I guess aye 👌 The show goes on!
For hard adventure 690 R is a beast mate. So good that i am putting on hold buying a 890 R. After coming back from a 1500km ride last week where a third of it was on road the 690 was so good and oh man it is unreal off-road (including wheelies 😉). Something to think about. Cheers buddy i really enjoyed this episode💪
wow what a day mate 😁👍 at 1:54 you had a wallaby cross just infront of you and you didnt even see it 🤣 yeah my big fear is water crossings 😒😥 darn good job on that hill climb after the creek darn nearly stalled it 😮 oh and nearly forgot , dont yah hate it when you loose something then find it in the most obvious spot 🤣🤣 welcome to the club 🤣😥 keep well Josh 😉🍺
Hahaha mate those little suckers are bouncing around everywhere at the minute, lots of juicy green shit to eat I guess they're breeding like Tasmanians 😁 Man I was seriously getting pissed off trying to find that allen key there was a thistle bush right there in the grass too that kept jabbing my fkn fingers 😅 The dumb thing is I had a tarp right there I could have put everything on 😅
Pretty impressive watching you go through all that craziness. it hurt watching you fall off in that crossing. took it like a champ tho. excited for my trip end of the month.. just got a 24 t7.. stoked. you definitely earned those cold brews
Yeah, that's what makes T7 different from a lighter bike. After I spent 4 hours stuck in a muddy crossing this summer, now I stop at the beginning of every steep downhill and go down on foot to make sure I can at least drive back up in case the other side turns out to be too much for T7. It's a bit straining, to be on guard for such things instead of my usual carefree driving.
I never used to coment on you tube however I find I cant help myself on your channel mate, fooking inspirational Josh, I just love your content and so cool to see this stuff in my neighbourhood, I just finished a long distance ride packed to the hilt and all I could think about is Conondale national park with minimal wieght on board, anyways I had fun and the KLR didnt dissapoint, a worthy pack mule... stay safe Bro 🍻 Much respect, Juddy (:{~
Bit of carnage, i assumed steve was with you when it happened and you did some riding around the state forest. But it was a solo adventure. Cheers 4 sharing sir.
Hesus Josh-san! If that's not an adventure I don't know what is. Those kookaburras are the cheekiest birds. I had one do a low fly by at probably 60kph and steal just the bacon out of my egg and bacon sandwich, sent egg yolk all over the bloke next to me. Clean strategic pass, just the bacon. Blackbutt, Nanango and the D'Aguilar National Park are Yowie hotspots. Can't wait for part 2!
Ha ha Watched this the other day. was just thinking you are without a doubt the king of Lantarna. And what an adventure in the creek. Shit man that was an decent effort. Loved this vid 👌
That was quite some ride you went through some tough places to get through. And you actually got your bike out of the creek that was amazing. You came out of it was not too much damage to your bike and at least you didn't get hurt.
@@MVDBR I have to agree with you there, same for me many times definitely it does build character and endurance. And as for misplacing your tools, that happens to us all no matter what age we are.
Amazing, one of the best yet bud! 👏 Don’t often see you struggling, glad you left it in.. great stuff! 🙌🍻 Seriously thinking about the T7, I’d have to lower it with a low seat though! 🙈🤣
Haha thanks mate yes I am only human 😜 Yeah the tall seat height is a problem, especially on those fkn slippery creek rocks 😭 I really should spring for the low seat.
Time to add a folding silky saw to the kit mate, solves those log crossing challenges with a little elbow grease. Class act on the moment of remembrance, we’ll played sir.
I do have a folding pruning saw in me kit mate and we did get it out on another subsequent ride to cut through a 15cm or so tree, was a bit of a mission with just that little sucker. The thing is with these kinda tracks you could waste an hour of your time and a shitload of your energy to get through one and then come across an even bigger one 200m further on (exactly what happened on that subsequent ride lol). Leave it to some 4WD prick with a chainsaw I reckon 😁👌 Thanks mate yeah timed it well getting to me spot just before 11.
Hahahahaha...... "ahhhhhhh thats a big vine, you know whod' love this track... phil" 😀 AHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... bad luck mate. I knew you'd find the 8mm... it's not like it was a 10mm socket! 😀 What a dude, that is some serious miles. Silly bird! 😀 Hope it didn't rain...
That's plenty of adventure challenges. I'm definately older and I picked up a 'motowinch' just for those challenging reasons. Check into it. From CT, U.S.A.
Thanks mate I have seen those, as handy as it might be from time to time I can't justify carrying anymore shit on my bike haha. I'll get a 690 or something when this pig gets too much. Cheers thanks for the comment 🍻
Going through that kinda brush wouldnt you be worried that some sort of poisonous critter gets on ya? I'm from the northern colony of canada btw all we usually worry about is ticks. Anywho this video was great! Keep on riding hard good buddy!
Thanks Lukas 🤙 There are ticks around here but you know I've never had one on me in my life that I can recall, maybe I taste like shit 😁 There wouldn't really be much else in there, occasional creepy crawlies that get in ya helmet and clothes but I never see what the hell they are 🤷♂
Hi you were lucky you didn't fall into a deep stream. It happened to me once, I had to dismantle all the spark plugs tank, empty the water from the air box finally 3h30 of disassembly and reassembly and luckily it restarted. It's time for you to equip with a high position exhaust. I have a HP CORSE SP 1court high position. You didn't get hurt, that's the main thing.
G'day from Kandanga. Bugger re the screen etc, though at least you're using the bike as intended. What weight of rear spring are you running? I'm about to pick one up tomorrow and looking to do the same sort of trips with the same amount of gear. Awesome vid mate, couldn't believe it when I found your channel and it's right here in the Mary
Thanks Steve my suspension is pretty much stock I haven't changed springs or anything, I just have the rear preload maxed most of the time (especially with luggage on of course). I have added some home made preload spacers to the forks and also changed up to 15W fork oil to help with the bottoming out in the front.
I was lucky that it was pretty much flat once it slid back over that rock a bit, otherwise I'd have been dragging it around or something lol 😬 cheers mate
@@MVDBR be keen to hear how ya go with it. Haven’t ordered yet cause he’s so swamped & we’re heading into winter up here so my riding has slowed down some.
I watched you go down that and thought.... going back up is gonna be a crawl up the bash plate or a fucking airborne launch! Nice trail fix, maybe one day yamaha will sort that bracket made from recycled sardine tin lids.
Yeah it's more about the location of the damn thing than the sardine tins lol, shit design but in 2 years that's the first time I've really bent it so can't complain 😁
@@MVDBR mine is the same, had to change the end can after some rock attacks but hanger is fine. The camel adv one is what I keep looking at but I'll wait till I bend the original!
