thank u soooo much i been trying to make my h96 pro stick to work to install for days but no avail. i seem many tutorials but what ppl forget to mention is the Root LibreELEC!!! for gods sakes man that was all i needed lol
@@TeamPandory thank u but now I got another problem 🤦🏻♂️ The resolution get messed up everytime i exit a game. Get all green and zoomed in. Any fix to this?
Great vid bro thanks 👍👍 I'm sure I'm gonna have to watch it a few more times to get the full gist but you've given me everything I needed to know. Cheers 👍👍👍
I followed every step in this video I was able to install emuelec and everything was looking good except there's nowhere on my SD card for my roms to go. How do add roms?
You can download emulator apps on Android TV for n64, Dreamcast, psp (I think). There should be one for retroarch. Just load your roms onto an SD card and you should be able to open them in those apps.
Hey there do u know why when I put the SD in my computer to load the games on my SD it doesn't show the roms it only shows the d drive that shows emuelec with the files but no roms
@@TeamPandory I jave the roms ready but on the SD card when I put it on my laptop it shows the emuelec files but it doesn't show the roms names so o can just drag the file
I cannot get my HK1 box (makeup box) to boot to a flashed SD card. Tried a 256gb and a 128gb card with sm1_s905x3_4g.dtb, sm1_s905x3_4g_1gbit.dtb and sm1_s905x3_4g_1gbit_slowsdio.dtb (renamed to dtb.img). Cards are recognised in the android file explorer, but they just won't boot via reboot with Libreelec or Terminal Emulator. I get a black screen sometimes, other times it flashes up the HK1 Series logo then to black again (repeat). Believe the unit itself might be defective, as I don't know what else to try.
I tried . No pin , reset using the terminal. Libreelec I tried everything, I even got a new sd card. . Look , I I used another box and worked . This box , x88pro mini is not good . It will now work. Thanks again for the help .
It’s x88 pro mini . It runs Android 10. The box is fast. It seems all the dtb files are not for this box. I tried 905x2 , 905x . All of it. It goes to recovery mode. The box won’t read the IMG FILE. I gave up. I bought a h96 max. It works and I recommend it.
I've found that the Android 10 boxes usually sport the Allwinner chips, vs Amlogic who usually reside on Android 9. One more thing to look out for is "netstreaming", "netflix" or "Google Certified" - avoid those if you want to use ELEC
Leave it at stock is best advice ... Unless you only want it to run amiga / swanstation - and for that I'd suggest getting an s905x3 box like we reviewed. You could pull the games from the console x and have it work on a more capable system.
My games sub folder (the game system folders) are not showing up. Ive flashed cards before, and this is the first time this has happened and I don't know what to do
@@TeamPandory hi mate ! Good news, it was actually working and it flashed fine. My PC wasn't picking up the drive letter on the SD card. I changed the path letter and it all worked as normal.. caused me a lot of frustration for no reason. It all worked out in the end
Got an x88 pro mini that has an s905x3 and 4g/32g ram/storage. Easily got emuelec on it. Had it hooked to my tv and all is fine. Planned on hooking it up to a monitor which doesn't have sound capabilities, so I was just going to use its 3.5mm headphone jack hooked up to an external amp. Unfortunately I can not get emuelec to output any sound out of the 3.5mm jack. I've tried changing the audio device in emuelec settings, rebooting after each change and nothing. I figured I got a bad unit, so I took the SD card out and turned it on, booted into android and the 3.5mm jack outputs sound just fine, heck it'll even output audio through the DS4 I'm using for the controller (neither the 3.5mm jack or DS4 will output audio while in emuelec). My guess is that emuelec is trying to send audio though the HDMI cable and not allowing audio to go to the 3.5mm jack. I booted up the terminal and took a look in alsamixer while in emuelec and it shows the boxes audio system, and even shows the controller. But nothing I do gets audio out of the 3.5mm jack. I don't know what else I can try to force audio out of the headphone jack. Someone told me to mess with asound.conf and change the device, which sounds like what you do in the emuelec audio device settings.
First thing you can check is the EmuELEC Audio settings in the menu. Second thing you can do, is to check config files via network whilst loaded, change audio output to "jack"
@@TeamPandory 1st as I already said I already did that (audio device settings in emuelec) tried 0,0 0,1 1,0 1,1 rebooted after each change and nothing. 2nd so how do I do this
dear friend i do all your steps ...but when i move tree device ...the tv box not run emuelec its stop on android world ...my device s905 but i don't know its p212 or p200 or p201
I'm having trouble with other controllers, I've tried mapping out the buttons for three different controllers and the button layout is all mixed around during gameplay. Which is odd because the controllers the console comes with on my device don't do that. What is wrong with using other controllers? I even mapped out the buttons and they are all mixed up during gameplay....?
I cant understand - what magic you need to do to connect some controllers to Emuelec, i searched for ours and can't fing an answer (in my case Ipega 9156 gamepad)
Same as any system. If there is no compatible driver, it won't work. Why not drop by the emuelec discord and ask them there, they may be able to help you out.
Hi, I just purchased super console x pro it comes with EMUELEC, I cant figure out how to change the seller ( Kin Hank) boot or logo images when games are loading, is there any way?
Android will still be there. Shut down emuelec, take out the microsd, then start up the box again, you'll get android. I think there's even an option within emuelec "boot from nand" which loads up your android system
Hi there. I have followed all your instructions but it isn't giving me a readable partition to put the rooms into. Please help I have tried everything.
After it has run once, a partition will be made. Depending on the version it will be either a Windows readable one, or Linux. In the case of Linux, it's probably better to use WiFi to copy over your games
Hi all i have a powkiddy y6 game stick. I backed up everything to my mac. Wanted to add games and now no games are showing on emulec menu. I only formatted the roms partition as it had no space to add games. Other partition is emulec with the software files. Now when I load the y6 no games are showing on emulec at all. I dont know how to find the scan game list section on emulec if thats the way to do it? Please help! 🙏🏿
Use terminal as explained in this video @8:22. Alternatively, you can see if there's a switch inside the headphone jack. Hold it then turn it on. Keep it held until it starts up. It may be a locked box. If that's the case then you'd need to search if there's another firmware you can burn.
Hello, in Emuelec 4, a folder for game images is created automatically, but in 3.9 there is no way to make this folder (there are not only games there)
The games are there, but it's on a partition so Windows cannot access. Copy over games using network - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m33sCMju4jM.html
Greate guide Thanks! Can you do the same with an USB stick instead of SD card? I have tried myself but did not work as it will not load the Emuelec. I have the A905x4 which I could not find on the device tree so not sure if that is the reason.
Hey there. So the 905x4 chip currently doesn't have any dtb files, but afaik they're an overclocked 905x3, so if the boot to libreelec file works (and it resets) then you can try using the 905x3 2gb or 4gb versions. You may have some luck.
Great video, very informative and easily explained, am using an MX Q PRO 4 G box, one of my boxes is stuck, am unable to reset it to factory settings, is there any way i can make it run again ???
Probably by reflashing the firmware... Sometimes it's best to throw it then get something new. The hk1 we reviewed a few weeks back is an excellent option for under 40$
@@TeamPandory hey thanks have already considered a new buy, but for educational purposes and keep myself updated with newer tech options, what is the best method / app to reflash the firmware, how do i get the right app that meets the box's specs . Your video on the hk1 too very interesting nd yes it seems a good box worth trying out, only have to see if available here in India.
@@TeamPandory hey, thanks friend, as i said want to use this as an experiment to be up and savvy with new trends in tech , will def replace the box with a new one, but this has given me an opportunity to experiment and i wanna do it to enhance my knowledge n experience, keep posting, love your videos
Emuelec is another system entirely. It loads up Linux. You could go half way and load up a front end to android and have it look kind of similar. Check out daijishiro (I think that's the name)
hi i bought a chinese tv box with this emuelec on it i changed the resolution to 4k and how it shows as if the new resolution is not recognized and keep looping the same booting image how can i get it back to 1080p or 720p again ? thanx
Hi. I bought a hk1 box. But thought that I would go for the newer android 10 version. After receiving it, realised that it has a different chipset on it. The rockchip rk30. Is there any way to get Emulec on this box? Any help would be really appreciated.
Emuelec is exclusive for amlogic chips. You may be able to find something that runs on it, but you'd need to search out the exact chip. Rk30... Um. You may need to check the complete name of the chip.
Oh crap. I thought that might be the case. I think according to Aida 64 the chip may be a rk30sdk or rk3328. Looks like I've got a spare android box. Thanks for all your help.
On thanks. I'm happy to the this out. I clicked on the link but not sure what to do now. Am I supposed to flash something to SD card like I would Emulec. Could you point me in the right direction. Thanks
N64 is and always will be hit and miss, depending on the game you play. Mario and fzero lighter than banjo, cruisin etc. If you want all n64 working, your choifes are either to invest in a pc, or n64.
Hello, I hope you can read my comment. When I use terminal emulator and enter cat /proc/device/-tree/amlogic-dt-id commands, I get the error No such file or directory.. what should I do? Features of the device I used gamebox g5 p201 amlogic board 4gb ram. I can't find compatible device tree.
Thank you very much for sharing, but when I completed the installation, the memory card capacity was lost so much that I could not copy more games. Please guide me how to fix it.
At a guess, you're referring to the microsd when inserting into a Windows machine. Once emuelec starts for the first time, it creates a Linux partition with the rest of the space that isn't easily accessible in Windows. In order to copy over games, follow the next video in the series on "Adding Games" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m33sCMju4jM.htmlfeature=shared
I do everything right for X96 air the box boot but once i take out the usb to put roms on their folders and put it back on the box there's error on Emuelec and it wont boot 😭😭😭
@@TeamPandory played around with DTB files finally i found the one that worked there's little information which one to use for 4GB version of X96 air, when i inserted the usb back on windows after the first boot there weren't an EEROMS partition so windows was just giving me endless errors, so out of luck i tried different DTB files got the one that worked, thanks
Ok so I am really really struggling. I’ve managed to flash my sd with 3.9 no issue, I cannot for the life of me work out the correct file for the dtb files, when using terminal I have a38@p201 come up (missing a couple of digits left as resolution is out a bit). HELP! I have a S905W2 and with Aida64 I get "oppen" as device tree(don't know what that means). So I went with the emulator and it said the device tree is "s4_s905w2_ap201_4g" which is very similar to the one on the device trees website. My question is, which version of Emuelec should I use? I have tried the 4.6, 4.0 and 3.9 but none of them have that device tree that I could use as a "dtb.img" file
@@TeamPandorythanks for the tempestive reply! I am sorry to ask for help again, but I can't seem to find my device's device tree in the 3.9 version. Do I just have to try every single one until I find the correct one or do I have to try an older version?
Thanks for this, how about the other way around, what if I want to boot my Android box then start with Android OS first? How do I get this done? Thank you....
Great tutorial. I've ben to al the steps Still the same problem here, Already also tried to make a EmuELEC on a 32gb card but same problem. There is something wrong with my "dtb.img" I have no clue why my HK1 box is not recognizing the boot of the Sd card.
Did you check the chipset? - s905x3? Fake check microsd/ try another microsd ? Did boot to libreelec actually reboot the system ? Do microsd actually read (try in android)?
@@TeamPandory thanks for your help :). I think the problem is the device itself. I tried different SD cards, also just formatted clean sd and then putting in the HK1 box. He always says the same that the card is not supported. I downloaded the apps like Aida64 from the play store and everything seems okay for what the specs are. I think I have to buy a new HK1 or something else. Out of frustration I used my SD for upgrading emu 4.0 on the super console X pro. Everything works well, even the last stap in the network replacing files in the machine. I'm glad I could fix that, now I can blame the HK1 box 😄. I'll keep you informed.
@@robwales2282 thanks for the helping support. I found the problem with the SD card slot. Yesterday I was putting the SD in and out en tried everything. Suddenly the file browser app in the Android system itself recognized the SD card, so I was happy, but when I reboot he does it again, he only recognizes is own internal GB space. So again pulling and trowing in and out the SD in the slot and again after 20 times in and out the SD again finally feels the SD and reading it but there is something wrong. Or is this common with the HK1 box? If I push the SD in my console X pro at the moment he's running just the Android TV box, immediately he signifies the SD card and if I reboot (with a card that has no EmuELEC on it), and go to the file folder, I immediately see that the SD is connected. To be 100% sure my SD cards are not the problem I putted them in a SD card usb 3.0 reader and sticked that in. After 5 sec he signifies it and shows the extra GB ram partitions. So Im gonna try to send the HK1 box back to the seller and order a new one. Yesterday evening playing (N64) 007 Goldeneye on my super console X pro butt it sucks 🐢😖
I have the pawky box, accidently formatted the sd card... Ran through the steps and mine said p242_1ghx_s905x but didn't find that in the list! Any suggestions? It has 1gb of ram so obviously I want to go with the 3.9 but what dtb file should I use... I was also attempting to install a version of batocera or retropi just to see if it can be done. Now I believe that retropi doesn't support amlogic processors so that most likely is out the picture!
@@TeamPandory found a video on restoring the Super Console x, they provided a link to restore files that had three different dtb imgs... When I burned the 3.9 generic image to the sd card it made the partition primary and for some reason my Windows 10 Alienware laptop would not bring the partition up so I had to go in mini partition tool to change the partition to logic to gain access to it. Then I copied the dtb.img for console x 905L chip to the sd card and at first it didn't work. I went back into mini partition tool and change the emuelec partition to primary again and it loaded emuelec. Now the regular dtb.img that the video I found directs you to just might work as well. Now on to getting games back on to the system... I am going to make a video on my channel to document my issue and the solution. Ironically glad I accidently formatted the sd card because I am learning things that most tutorials don't teach you when burning the image to the sd card. Ton of time devoted but well worth it. Thanks for the suggestion and sorry for the long comment.
@@Wedeemgaming your laptop / windows laptop won't read the drives as they're Linux partitions per default. We made a separate tutorial regarding installing emuelec and games, demonstrating how to use the official image rather than the hacked versions.

I don't own one, so can't tell you for sure. However, you could try that boot to libreelec file in at around 8 minutes. Got a feeling that these Amazon devices cannot be rooted - so no emuelec.
