**The Hasselblad 500C was introduced in the autumn of 1957, the first design, 500C was manufactured between 1957 to mid 1959 [8,000 units were made]
The second design was manufactured from 1959 to 1970 [66,700 units were made]
**The 500C/M [M=Modified to interchangeable different types of focusing screen] available in the market for 24 years, from 1970 -1994 [271,400 units were made]
1970 -1977 [97,400 units made]
1978-1987 [123,000 units made]
1987-1990 [36,000 units made]
1990-1994 [1990-1991 was only available as part of a "500 Classic" package was initially in chrome trim body finish] by 1992 the black body was made [15,000 units total made]
** The 503CX 1988 - 1993 available in chrome or black trim
The 503CX body represented a significant advance from the 500C/M when it was introduced in 1988
A major change was the additional of electronics of Through The Lens [TTL] flash metering when use with standard SCA European flash adapter systems and supplied with new Acute Matt focusing screen, estimated manufactured number from 1988 -1993 about 48,000 units were made including
1991 Gold/Blue commemorative camera 700 units made
** The 503CXi was introduced in 1994 with the new style release button and the rubber bottom ribs were added. The advance mechanism was changed to use Wind Crank E in anticipation of an add-on motor winder [CW] 11500 were sold and discontinued with the introduction of the 503CW
** The 503CW was introduced in late 1996 as the last version of the 503 or V-series cameras, the major change was a new mirror geometry [GMS- Gliding Mirror System] such that there was no image cutoff at the viewing screen with long focal length
** The Carl Zeiss Hasselblad lenses classified their lenses for 3 section or 3 codes
Biogon or Distagon lenses mean for wide angle lens ranges
Planar mean the normal lens ranges
Sonnar or Tessar mean telephoto lens ranges
Sonnar mean the sun ***

[200 models is still required shifting focus as same as the HassyPBii, the camera bodies doesn’t practical with the focusing screen support adapter]
