Pin shot tutorial: the German Table Football Champion Semin Mensah explains how to do the pin shot. It takes a bit more practice, but it's great to give your offense game more variability, if you mastered the snake shot already. Besides breaking down the shot in 3 steps, and explain them in detail, Semin also shows which options and variations of the pin shot you should practice.

It seems that the bar does a pretty big rotation like 180 degrees during the shot. Is it necessary or the rotation can be reduced? I'm wondering why it is needed as intuitively it looks like the less movements you do the faster you shot.

Is diagonal pin shot also an option or it is considered a bad practice?

how to execute the push side well?

Despite the same hand position, the motion is almost the same evidently, but completely different internally. The push side motion is much more agressive and requires proportionally strong amplitude recoil after the shot (almost to the near wall) meanwhile the pull-side doesn't require so that much. This is because it is very hard to move your hand outrunning the ball to the push-side than to the pull-side. The main difference is the part of your arm which creates pulling or pushing motion: for the pull side it is your elbow which simply bends towards your body, for the push side it is your shoulder which makes almost half-circle motion off your body then back to it (when the recoil is performed) and the elbow is almost not moving. Of course this shoulder motion is almost invisible when you are using series from the middle position in front of the goal like most snakeshooters do, and this is only about puttig the right micro-accents to your body, but when you are trying to execute push side series where the ball is positioned in front of the near corner, this agressive shoulder motion is clearly visible. To see what I mean, check out how Frederic Collignon warms up on Bonzini and compare these motions how loose is his pull-side and how agressive is his push-side but the lateral speed is almost the same: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XIpm8eJJbPQ.html This is how I've learnt it, hope this helps you too!
