On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the Yale Peabody Museum will host a Grand Opening Event at the museum celebrating their recent reopening of the museum!!! Stay with us as we go LIVE from the Peabody Museum documenting many of the changes to the David Friend Mineral and Gem Hall. Among those changes some EXCEPTIONAL pieces from the Yampol Family Collection including The Rocket from the Jonas Mine in Brazil and The Great Phosphophyllite (formerly owned by Lord David Wilber) which many consider to be the finest mineral specimen in the world.
