Me and my husband spent 3 weeks to visit scotland, 5 years ago. We rent a big 6 person camping car just for the two of us 😃… one of my best memories ever🤗 it was at the same period, june. I have really adored this country. Thank you nice couple for doing this video 💖

I spent some time in Scotland. You have experienced one scottish thing : the wind ! The rain is next. And no, it's not always raining in Scotland, i swear ! It's just that it can happen any time. And the best is when you have the four seasons in a day ! 😁

Yes, I agree, just love your outfits and the way you tastefully combine plaids and prints and colors. i especially love your scarves and the ways you wrap and tie them for warmth. The cold, windy weather and gray skies were just perfect for Scotland, and I had to pause and get a fuzzy blanket and a hot cup of coffee, for the weather here is identical to what you are experiencing .I think I recognized a few places from Outlander. I have been enjoying all of the episodes from all of the seasons, on Starz, here in the US. Thank you for sharing the hint about the Red Lion location for the next season. I am so looking forward to seeing your hotel and more of Scotland in your next episode., hopefully very soon. .

Thank you for this lovely vlog. I must say it did bring a wee tear to my eye! I lived in Culross for a number of years. It will always hold a special place in my heart. It was where I had my first flat (in the Mercat Cross where the unicorn statue is) and where I first lived with my husband. The film director of Outlander phoned me and asked me if I could close my curtains while they were filming certain scenes and turn off my heating because they were picking up the noise on their microphones! Men in high visibility jackets used to meet me when I got home from work and walk me with torches back to my flat. This was because they shut down all the street lamps! It was fascinating watching the film sets change from scene to scene. I now live about 15mins from Falkland xxx

Oow that was lovely to see you both coming across the border. Ive been staying at Tebay Hotel for years when l travel to and fro ti England to visit family. Its fabulas, so homely, and friendly. The food is beautifully cooked and local produce. I was really surprised no gluten free. Culross is beautiful. The coastal harbour villages in Fife are stunningly beautiful. I hope you get to return. I'm over the moon y'all are in Scotland. I just love the country side and fresh crisp air flowing through my hair. You both make me so happy and giddy inside. Everything looks picture perfect. The grass is always greener on the other side...I just need a good Scottish man to take me for a ride lol.

I'm a bit sentimental for Scotland atm as it was 3 years ago this week we were there. You must sometime do the quad bike riding at Ardverikie Castle if you get over to Kingussie. We loved it! Bet you're staying at the Fife Arms Hotel. The rooms are soooo beautiful!
How lovely! I'm still in England for another 2 weeks. I've been all around the Cotswold, been to Mapperton and now I am in Weymouth to explore the jurassic coast line. Then from here to Windsor. When I do return I will be heading north of the UK to visit Scotland. 🥰

Absolutely stunning! Thank you for the soundtrack - it set the mood perfectly. A few of my real-life friends (from Canada) are Outlander cast members (extras and some with small indigenous roles). I love hearing about their off-set adventures in Scotland and now seeing the locations, really brings their descriptions to life (way better than looking at cell phone photos LOL!). Again, thank you! Hi Kirsten and Joerg, So great to see those Outlander locations! I thought you might find this interesting but I'm pretty sure that the hedge you drove past on the way to your hotel in the Highlands is the famous Meikleour beech hedge. It was planted in 1745(!) by a woman called Jean Mercer and her husband, and is 100ft (30m) high. Apparently it's the tallest and longest hedge in the world. Best wishes from a new subscriber, Inga 😊
Oh my Gosh, yes! I just looked it up and that's the very same hedge. Thanks so much for sharing, it's sooo incredibly unique and I was so blown away when seeing it that I said trees (I didn't react fast enough as I was thinking in German and then had to speak English yikes).
