I might be harsh but when HoloEN Gen 2 audition was announced, from what I saw was that Cover felt like the "testing out of water" was successful and they were comfortable to pursue much further. No intention of dissing HoloEN members, I'm sure they're also working hard as well. But this is what I see from Cover's eyes, which is from business perspective. Holostars is another case. Despite being popular recently, they're still considered low in Japan which is their market. Adding more members might give difference, but the question is "will it be good difference or the other way around, or even nothing?" Make HolostarsEN? They can, of course. But if they have no stronger influence in their own turf then how come they're gonna pursue another market? That might be what Cover thinks of Holostars. Plus 3 members graduated in same year, I'm sure it affects the talents as well. I'd say give them some time to recover and grow this year before making an addition. They're trying their best to build the brand by collabs, memes (yes memes), joining events (or even make their own event) in order to make Holostars name afloat on the market. Right now, it's best for us to support the current member. Their road is still long to become the Stars

A 4th generation is a big risk because although the boys are steadily growing, it isn't enough. Hololive, especially EN, can afford to have new generations due to the success of their predecessors. Frankly speaking, Holostars have to achieve that threshold of domestic popularity. That's what I think Shien meant that they're working really hard. They need an explosion like Hololive, but even before Hololive exploded into popularity, they still struggled for two years (I just fell down this rabbit hole a year ago so I'm not too sure). For now, we have Roberu that can be comparable to Fubuki in terms of how they got recognized globally. We just need to wait and support the boys along the way. Cover needs to address this too but I think they're probably struggling internally. Plus, there's the elephant in the room about gender roles and idol puritans. Honestly, if HoloPro can just go all out with arranging cover collabs, the boys may blow up but I think these are voluntary decisions between members. MatsuRikka, Foxdemon, Astellie and the even Sora visiting Roberu's milestone stream all boosted them up.

@@nitsuji6705 Sorry its Cover's fault also , they arent promoting the boys at all , they make nonstop concerts for the girls , make brand deals for them , Hologra and much much more , and what do the boys get ? *>Nothing* They couldve done small things like : promote them on their official website's front page along with the Hololive members , when they just finished renovating it , make stream programs where Hololive x Holostars members discuss small stuff like HoloComi where Holostars 2nd Gen , FBK and Matsuri interacted , highlight Hololive and Holostars members Songs and Covers together on their Official Channel and more similar stuff. This concerns this community also , what made Hololive famous in the first place is the massive surge of Clips and translated videos , *for every 1 Holostars clip theres like 10 000 Hololive ones* , and thats just daily speaking which is sad.

@@geasstk1334 You negated yourself when you mentioned clippers and translators. I don’t follow them fanatically but I do follow their accounts and the Holostars branch is doing what its intended to do and even the Hololive accounts post for Holostars. If I can remember correctly, Holostars have also held events such as meet and greets and the like. You can’t just randomly throw a concert and hope for an audience because as harsh as reality is, Holostars doesn’t meet the qualification of hosting a profitable concert (plus we are in a pandemic and whatnot and the concerts we get are usually solo or small groups; there’s also the KanaCoco house that functions as the proxy rest house that’s near the studio while Holostars don’t have that luxury). Yes, Cover can do so much more but its not like they are neglecting Holostars. They’re stepping up like that one time Shinove made a liquor collaboration work (the one with Kurand). Obviously there is no one to blame, especially when early Hololive experienced the same thing Holostars is experiencing. Don’t throw around blame and show support. If you really feel like Cover is to blame for the low growth of Holostars then throw in suggestions to them instead of blatantly blaming their underpromotion. Remember, even Hololive has underappreciated members… is that Cover’s fault? The talent’s fault? No, it’s the algorithm, trend, and amount of dedicated clippers/translators that put out free advertisement. As you said, there are more Hololive clip channels than Holostars. I am not discounting the hard work and effort of these talents but, come on, we have to acknowledge the fact that luck plays a big role in this industry even more so now that its being oversaturated by upcoming groups, companies, and indies. Tl;dr Don’t blame Cover for the lack of exposure. Besides their main market is JP and that’s where they are struggling. What can you do when something is more popular than the other? Bring down the more popular one? No, you bid your time and wait for them to explode into popularity while putting in the work and effort at the same time. Proof of effort are the Holostars channel and their new series Wachastars and their own translated clips. Don’t antagonize me, I mean well, but I disagree with the statement that Holostars are neglected when Hololive and Holostars aren’t at equal footing: they debuted in late 2019 while Hololive already has its 3rd Gen (Hololive Fantasy) by that time.

@@nitsuji6705 yeah I don't think the issue is Cover not giving the boys exposure (bc afaik they are doing their best as much as the boys do).
