Welcome to the official RU-vid channel of chart-topping female R&B vocal group, En Vogue. This is the home of 90s hits “Hold On,” “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Giving Him Something He Can Feel,” “Free Your Mind,” and “Don’t Let Go (Love)” among successful albums ‘Born To Sing,’ ‘Funky Divas,’ and ‘EV3,’ and numerous awards and nominations.
En Vogue was formed by producers Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy under the vision of a modern R&B girl group with strong vocals, intelligence, and show-stopping glamour. Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, and Terry Ellis made the cut out of 3,000 women who auditioned. The group was an immediate hit upon their first single in 1990 and set the standard for female vocal groups. Through the evolution of the lineup to the current members of Herron-Braggs, Ellis, and Rhona Bennett, En Vogue continues to tour, release new music, and dazzle and inspire fans everywhere. Agreed. Watch this and TRY NOT to see beyond the exterior... reminds me of an old phrase about book covers and not judging, if I may make such a gross comparison. Coming from an older generation/environment where appearance was, unfortunately, a factor in judgement, i'm privileged to have had these ladies, among so many more, to show me the correct and humane way of seeing people. Thank You!

If only Destiny's Child had been as egalitarian. The women of En Vogue have always been able to have their own individuality and time to shine without trying to outshine one another---seamlessly balancing solos with tight harmonies. It keeps things fresh.

Listen to some old school black rockers or some early punk rock pioneers. If you like a bit of edge listen to Bad Brains and the band called Death. Want more mainstream listen to Janet Jackson's Black Cat which she wrote and produced herself or obviously the most iconic star of all time Michael Jackson. Listen to his soong give in to me featuring Slash or the classic Dirty Diana.

It's funny that in the decade of the Rodney King beating and the O.J. Simpson trial, black-white relations in the USA were better than today. The amount of fear and distrust being instigated by politicians/media/educational system is sickening. Anyone who doesn't believe it, can ask an black person over 35. Same goes for m/f relations. The only thing that's gotten better is LGBT. They really had it tough in the 90s.

I will have to disagree(without changing your mind) on the grounds that the music from my Boomer parents was better. 70's were amazing. I think because the technology didn't allow to overproduce a song with prerecorded samples. People had to play all the instrumental parts and record them over and over to layer them over the melody.

Mmm-dah, mmm-dah, mmm-dah, mmm-dah Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me, I said [Chorus] Free your mind and the rest will follow Be color blind, don't be so shallow Free your mind and the rest will follow Be color blind, don't be so shallow [Verse 2] So I'm a sista, buy things with cash That really doesn't mean that all my credit's bad, oh So why dispute me and waste my time? Because you really think the price is high for me I can't look without being watched, and oh You rang my buy before I made up my mind, OW! Oh now attitude, why even bother? I can't change your mind, you can't change my color [Pre-Chorus] Mmm-dah, mmm-dah, mmm-dah, mmm-dah Why oh why must it be this way? Mmm-dah, mmm-dah, mmm-dah, mmm-dah Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me, I said You might also like Ich Liebe Dich Samra & Sido All Of The Girls You Loved Before Taylor Swift Through Me (The Flood) Hozier [Chorus] Free your mind and the rest will follow Be color blind, don't be so shallow Free your mind and the rest will follow Be color blind, don't be so shallow Free your mind and the rest will follow Be color blind, don't be so shallow Free your mind and the rest will follow Be color blind, don't be so shallow Free your mind [Break] [Pre-Chorus] Mmm-dah, mmm-dah, mmm-dah, mmm-dah Why oh why must it be this way? Does anyone else get judged because they speak proper? I absolutely hate when some people say that I speak like a “white person” or “too white”! What the hell does that even mean? It’s called educated for those that are wondering! Yes, we all have different dictions and accents, but proper is proper! There’s no such thing as “talking white”! It’s called speaking fluently and talking correctly! Free your mind people, because life is too short! You will never know when you’ll need a helping hand from someone! That helping hand may speak “white” or “black”, or whatever else they call it...We are all human and deserve to live in peace amongst one another, no matter the race or color! - En Vogue’s song is still relevant in 2021!

I took me awhile to figure out this whole speaking proper thing out also, but as I've gotten older and wiser and learned more about politics. It's only because the common people can't relate to you because they don't speak as sophisticated as you do. I've learned there is a time and place to speak properly. It's okay to teach better speech, but it's also okay to relate better with others that is not as smart as you.

Veroosh Tarot Astrology Horoscope Instead if pretending you do not see color I was taught to value diversity and be curious to hear about the struggles others may have experienced because of their perceived race. Obama is just as much white as he is black but he was credited with being our first black president. When a fully black man or woman is president the U.S. will have achieved proof of less racial bias. Sadly, our federal policies are entrenched with racial biases and still give states a lot of leeway in how they distribute funds for housing and other social welfare programs. Do you support the black community’s quest for reparations? I fully do.

It was at number 1 for an eternity here in the UK. It really is a great song, and gets it's message across far more effectively than any of the mindless PC nonsense happening today. Sadly it was the only real success story En Vogue had over here. A few of their other songs were reasonably well known because they were in movies - but that was it. They vanished from the charts after this song and only get mentioned now on a handful of music channels when a 90's recap must be produced.

Not sure what's wrong with me saying that & also don't care. And secondly, you really need to get your facts straight, my dude. *Necrophilia* is when you commit sexual acts on a dead body. *Necromancy* is basically calling upon spirits and talking to the dead. Also one of the few groups where every woman could sing, and every one sang lead on at least one hit. They had untouchable harmonies and individual vocals, as well as cutting edge style and videos

+Sean Griffith People who think Destiny's Child are even in the same platform as this song birds, must be very young. Fact 1, all the girls in this group could sing lead, all this girl could keep a harmony from beginning of the song till the end, and 3 When you heard this ladies you can actually heard them all as one.

I grew up with En Vogue and now at 49, this song is more relevant and important than ever. The key quote “ be color blind, don’t be so shallow” 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 should hit a nerve with people as this is the truth living in 2020!! Be kind to one another and never judge a person by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. A MLK quote I still stand by today. We need more love and to learn from one another, we all have qualities that are worthy, we are all human beings.🌎❤️🌎❤️🌎❤️🌎❤️🌎❤️🌎❤️🌎❤️🌎❤️🌎❤️🌎❤️
