Can users install apps on the multi-session hosts? For example, if we want to install any RMM tool or EDR solution. Or it could be a random app like Webex, Zoom, Any browser, etc.
How is licensing of Windows 10 done in Azure Windows Desktop? Are these virtual desktops pre-licenses? or the customer needs to procure licenses and apply?
Good initiative,I thought should appareciate, small suggestion, WVD doesn't supported for 2012 windows explorer and even not supported for third party explorer and and for windows 7 also doesn't support wvd client because it needed compatible supported windows 10 and server version. If a user stores data in WVD, can we restrict the data security that no files out of WVD can be taken to personal device? If a user leaves the org, how can we preserve the data in WVD and how can we wipe off the data? How is patching handled here? Would the WVD need any AV for it or will it use MS defender??
Hey there Prijitha! To answer your questions, 1. Yes, we can restrict all access via RDP Properties to the virtual desktop. 2. You can preserve data by using OneDrive Known Folder move. That holds a snapshot of the user data after resigning. 3. Patching would happen via MECM or MEM. 4. Defender is supported and AV is recommended to use.
