Android auto is now wireless in several Toyotas. you may need to enable or disable the android auto system, here is how you fo it. If the android auto system drops off you will need to reset this.
Thank you so much for your help. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't connecting to the screen. I looked at other videos and none of them could show me how to connect. THANKS!
Thank you for the video. My wife just purchase a 2023 rav4 le and we are using android auto. You comment of needing wife to use wireless android auto is correct. Thank you
I just got an XSE hybrid in australia and tried numerous ways but i cannot get the android auto showup like it does for you. the option just doesnt exist on the connection screen you are on. however apple carplay shows up just fine. any help?
Hi, do you know if the 2023 Corolla SE has wireless Android Auto? On the Toyota site its kind of confusing because it says Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatible but it doesn't specifically say Wireless Android Auto. Thanks.
I am sure you have gotten an answer on this by now but just in case, I just bought a 2023 corolla LE and it has wireless android auto so I am sure the SE trim has it. I had trouble at first and I am not sure as others were helping me at the same time but I think you first need to get android auto running with a USB cable plugged into the dash. (All the other ports are charge only). There might have been a wrong setting to begin with but after I got it working I was able to switch back and forth between the Toyota software and AA without using the USB cable.
@@audiogeneral Yes, I did get an answer from someone on the Toyota forums confirming that it does have wireless Android auto, but I really appreciate your response, it further eases my mind and thanks for that tip about using the cable first. 👍
I just bought Toyota corolla hybrid 2024 and have same system for android auto, but I have issues with that, I hope you can help me. I always getting connections timeout, and if I'm using map or listening to music in my phone it all stop and I have to go to settings and reconnect again, and keep timeout happen over and over, even if I connect with USB, what you think the solution for this issue? Thank you
Hello Steve, I have 2021 Toyota Highlander XLE. While using android auto wireless adapter, I am getting the direction map but I am not getting turn by turn audio. Is there are a setting which allows me to get turn by turn audio direction also? Please respond. Thank you.
@@ChristopherLeeShreds how? Only I figure out is to use the SXM app on the phone when using AA. Personally where I live cell service is sketchier than the SXM satellite connection
I am pressing enable AA and the the car does not enable it. Bluetooth fubction is working as you show. When I plug the phone with the usb cable the Android auto starting and is enabled
same on '24 rav. xda forums say the issue is with the separated BT/AA service - since AA requires BT 'handshake' - this is somewhat not happening with new Toyota's multimedia. Hope either Toyota, or Google comes with a solution. Quite annoying having latest Samsung phone and new car - and wireless AA does not work.
I notice how you had to press the Maps icon three times before it took. This is my issue, and sometimes a press won't work at all. Why are the icons in AA so non-responsive?
Please do a video showing how to use Android Auto wirelessly with the 2021 Toyota Corolla SE. I can't get Google Maps to project on the screen unless the USB cable is plugged in.
The 21 Corolla does not have wireless capability You can add wireless and more if you get this amzn.to/3HEfFjp I did a full review on how it works. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vaKZIpZJRus.html
How do I get radio access? Great video, thanks. I just drove away with a new ‘24 RAV4 and I want to get local radio stations? First car with no Radio dial.
Thank you so much, but I got it after connecting the Android Auto system, and following your video. I was able to scroll and find the local radio stations and "heart" them @@stevenwelchtoyota
How do I get rid of Android Auto. All I get is AUDIO PAUSED when I play music. I get volume but I can't control it. It doesn't matter if I plug my phone in or use Bluetooth. I've read it's caused by the app..Can I down load music to the vehicle itself..OR should I temporarily disable Android Auto on my phone.
is Android Auto or Apple Car play subscription services ? or are they free for the life of the car. Thanks for the video. I just purchased a 2023 Corolla SE (wont get it for a few weeks) and look forward to taking advantage of this if it is a free service.
Lots of information that I have seen points to the idea that the phone has to be wifi capable in order to connect wirelessly to your phone through android auto. Other manufacturer's require you to pay a monthly subscription to enable the wifi. Once you received your vehicle, were you able to connect wirelessly to your vehicle using android auto? (some manufacturer's even offer a 1 year of the subscription free so it may be hard to tell if it works without.)
Good video! I just loaded Android Auto on my 2022 Prius via a required USB cable. Everything seems to be OK but when I call one of my contacts or when I receive a call my voice cannot be heard; I've tried troubleshooting this issue but I'm stuck. Any advice? Thanks
So you have to use a USB cable to initially pair the vehicle to Android Auto if you want to use your apps correct? Because I can connect wireless in my 2023 Rav4 Hybrid but I cant use android auto for some reason. Really weird because Apple Carplay works great and we didn't have to plug in the iPhone.
I have 2024 Toyota Corolla SE and when using Android Auto, I can’t always use the volume on steering wheel to control audio. I receive Audio Paused. Any suggestions ?
I dont want to use android auto unless im traveling. How do you use just bluetooth? It says its connected, but I can't hear anything like RU-vid or my Bible app.
Same problem with s22 ultra and 2023 avalon china's version it's the same screen even with cable it doesn't show anything i would love you have find any solutions
Hello, i have problem with galaxy S21+ In bluetooth disconect-reconnect... mistake And i connect with USB-C android cable Phone. My bluetooth forced connexion but same problem connected and disconected I have try with an adaptator android auto but my toyota yaris 2024 forced connexion. You have a solution :/ I think try to go toyota.
Is there a way to use the Toyota navigation without the subscription service on a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid? If I touch the navigation icon it always says to sign up for DriveConnect.
If I am understanding correctly I don't have to use the android system I can use blue tooth, yes ? I'm really not liking the android system. I have a toyota crown.
Android auto pulls from your data for the info it shows. You can try airplane mode but I dont know if it will work in airplane mode and you would not be able to make or receive calls in airplane mode
How do I make it to where my wife's phone connects to Android auto first, before my phone? Mine always seems to connect first instead of hers. Is there a way to set the android audio preference for her phone first?
@@stevenwelchtoyota Thanks, I'll give it a try. That's been our main issue at this point. My phone will connect first sometimes even while I'm inside and she's out in the car inside the garage.
@@justinbooker7974ello, are you able to control the volume while on Android auto and playing RU-vid? My 2023 SE won't let me. The dealership ppl don't know why. I will have to wait for the tech person after the holiday.
I just bought a 2024 Camry and I can't use Android Auto unless I have my phone plugged into the USB port. It sucks that it's not wireless. I'll never use it.
It does not but there is a way to get it. I reviewed a product that can help. Here is the review. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vaKZIpZJRus.html Here is the product link amzn.to/3XXn8S3
@@stevenwelchtoyota yes while connected to the android auto the voice comes from the car's speakers but was wondering if there is any settings to have the audio comes from phone's speakers and not the car's while connected to the android auto.
Audio is paused when u play some thing from phone. volume is max on phone. when source changed to radio, everything is fine.volume can go up and down. when listening something from phone with max volume on phone, sound from rav4 2023 is v little. it is showing Audio Paused
I have the same problem trying to play RU-vid while connected to AA. Very annoying, o ly have my car for 2 days. While using Bluetooth and radio the volume works fine. Did you figure out why? Thanks
Sigh. I love my new Prius, but as a former computer engineer (retired) Toyota's implementation of Android Auto is half baked. I suppose I could try more phones... MY son says his $1400 Samsung works fine. I would hope so 😆
I love my 2023 Corolla Hybrid, but Android Auto is laggy and will often distort my music, I assume due to a poor wifi connection. The infotainment system will also start rebooting over and over for no apparent reason.
@Steven Welch When it is plugged in the music still lags sometimes but not as badly. The whole reboot weirdness happened twice, both times my phone was plugged in.
Just bought a 2023 SE. While on Android Auto I am not able to control the volume at all when connected to RU-vid. When connected by Bluetooth I can. The ppl at the dealership couldn't figure it out and we tried another Android phone same issue. The tech mechanic will be in after the holiday. Has anyone experienced this and know why?
@Conversationz with Keke looks like usb connection is the only answer to our problem whether it be wired or wireless activation to android auto. I've been looking at the Motorala MA1 wireless adapter, amazon has it & so does best buy. Seems like this will be the one i am grabbing. Unless i grab a fast usb to type c cable and leave the now remaining empty type C slot available for my front passenger. Currently using the type c on arm rest for passenger and the type c next to usb for my phone charging. The usb to fast type c cable will charge and allow android auto.
