I went there while I was touring the Philippines in 2016. It's a wonderful place. The film makes it look scary because they are exploring the underground river system that feeds it. You won't experience that if you go there, it's like a large deep swimming pool that is a nice tropical blue. Also no need to worry about sharks or crocodiles. As long as you know how to swim and not afraid of deep water, you will enjoy it a lot as I did.

This is very beautiful, but I am not gonna go swimming I'm the darkness or anything like that I don't care if I like it rivers, lakes, the ocean, even the beach are my biggest fears, but I still think they are beautiful and they hide amazing mysteries that humans have yet to discover, but in the end they still scare me lol
Fabian - I was there in 2016 and while I consider myself a strong swimmer, as long as someone knows how to swim and doesn't panic on deep water they will be fine. The water is not dark, it is a tropical blue and you can see down quite a ways. The current is not very strong, it's like a giant swimming pool and the best part is no worries of sharks, crocodiles or other dangerous creature there. The film here looks scare because they explore the underground river that feeds it, but you won't see any of that just swimming around in it.
your right!even the diver can't reached the bottom of it 'enchanted river',but i wish i could go there and look what its like,. because in the video it' kinda enchanted and its color was sparkling like a diamond.😍😍
This is why it's called Enchanted River. It's full of mystery. No one has ever reached its bottom and its strong current has already claimed a number of lives.

Im a Philipino...im came over and ober in the enchanted well it is pretty danger....the policy now from enchanted as we came last year there is no more to dive right there somebody just said us that there was an american died down there and his oxygen was almost empty and didnt make it only his friends.. I know that im too young too understand but duhh..i was scared to hear it from a stranger...and from what i've notice the enchanted river...was kina like an eye form i can actually see it...
No it's not the O2. I read in the Inquirer, the tank still had O2, pero he had heart attack, accdg to autopsy. Knowing he would not make it, he tied his hand sa tali para hindi madala ng current ang body nya. Nasa huli kasi sya as he instructed his two students to go ahead of him

Angel Mae Bino Yup i also have a cousin like that in the province of MATI CITY. When he cant go swimming for at least once a day the hole behind his ears or the gills becomes watery. He can dive for as long as 2 hours underwater for real 😑. But he is not a badjao, pero siguro sila yung mga taong tinatawag noong panahan na SINYALAN.
