Well Blue Light is just a big buzzword the last couple of years, but I believe there are settings in your PC that can be used to pretty much negate any of the “negatives” of blue light.
She got dragged for a fraudulent solution to the blue light problem. Their is *some* evidence excessive levels of blue light exposure (like that of a streamer or professional gamer) could well cause neurodegeneration, premature aging etc.
@@castcafe1018 there is literally no such thing as the "blue light problem." the only blue light that is detrimental to our health in any way is from the sun which can be blunted by using sunglasses and sunscreen. your PC is never going to harm your health by emitting "excessive levels of blue light." she got dragged bc its pseudoscience BS that everybody could smell from a mile away
Thus far, (as far as I am aware; please do proper scholarly article research and/or ask a dermatologist) there is no significant evidence nor is there enough research to show that ARTIFICIAL blue light (like from computer screens) can cause you any damage to your skin. The main source of blue light most people would be exposed to would be from sunlight and of course that is harmful for your skin. You should always try to have sunscreen on when outside, but you don’t need to worry about needing it for blue light from your monitors or phones. Of course, as of typing this, there could be new research that says otherwise, but this is what I am aware of and implore for everyone to do their due diligence on matters regarding your own health. Have a nice day, everyone 😊
@@YeanDoon Hey man, the research I was referencing showed that blue light caused premature aging and damage to the cells of flies. From what I’ve read this is notable because the chemistry is very similar in the signalling and mitochondria of human and fly cells. If you want to read more it was published in a journal called Frontiers in aging. Having read it myself the methodology seems sound and the authors seem credible but as you said, always self verify. Have a good one
