That's why I don't enchant unless there is a backup item to use in the case it fails.

Feels like that, same on the armor that I tried to enchant, failed to p5 7 times but succeeded on doing p8 in around 2 tries

Possibly, yeah. You can't always trust com2us descriptions though. The translators for the game don't seem to actually play the game. There's been a lot of weird things over the years. They may have simply left out the word "to". Either way, even at normal rates that many failures in a row is absurd.

Harder to +8. It just so happened to +8 on the first try once +7. It shouldn't have been that hard to +7.

It's possible to fail it an infinite amount of times. The previous attempts being failures doesn't make a successful attempt more likely to happen.

It's just unlikely due to the odds. (1/3 chance is very high over 30 attempts)

There is a mage on Bigmama years ago that failed a lower tier weapon 50+ times trying to make it to +7 Was max stat so she was stubborn about it.

Many thousands of enchant trials. Rates are rarely picked at random by developers, it doesn't make sense. Usually there's a formula to automatically determine the rates. For TWOM the rates line up with the rule of thirds. Start at 1/3, then multiply by 1/3 for every tier afterward. 33.3333333 (tier 1, +5 armor, +7 weapon) 11.1111111 (tier 2, +6 armor, +8 weapon) 03.7037037 (tier 3, +7 armor, +9 weapon) and so on

@@DonBurns Yeah I see where you're coming from but, just hypothesising rates isn't enough to solidify them. The rates have never been released per say from com2us. I thought they released some information about their enchanting rates and you got my hopes up, ah well guess we wont fully know the rates.

Not saying your experiments are wrong just saying it's not confirmation from com2us, trust me I have done an extensive amount of enchanting on my own account. Failed many +9 weapons to 10 and an uncountable amount of weapons and armours from +8 and +6. I still think your estimates are either spot on or extremely close to the mark based on my experience. I just want god dam com2us to show us the rates.

@@MadusaImo Never claimed the info is from com2us. RU-vid videos from players also aren't absolute fact. But over thousands of trials, you can make educated guesses on how things are. At the end of the day they're just guesses though. They just happen to be guesses that have held up the last 10 years and are what a lot of us go by.

As an example, do you need official sources to tell you the odds when flipping a coin are about 50/50?

Because it does say "If you power-up +7 or higher weapons during the event, 2x success rate will be applied." Other people think the same. It could be that TWOM didn't explain properly? Not sure. You could think of it as enchanting +7 or higher (maybe they mean enchanting a weapon that's p7, not p6)?

Don Burns It’s not just “possible”, it’s true. The honored scroll only doubles the success rate of +7 to +8 or higher for weapons and +5 to +6 or higher for armor.

From an outsiders perspective only seeing the echos it probably did seem like first try. xD
