After a period of 111 days without concerts due to the Coronavirus in the Concertgebouw, Lucas (27) & Arthur (23) Jussen were the first ones to play an official concert in this beautiful hall. This memorable recording was made possible by the Bankgiroloterij series in cooperation with the Tanglewood Music Festival. In this video they play Schumanns 'Abendlied' as an encore.

Received the anticipated call this morning that my younger sister had passed peacefully after her battles with cancer. THIS... this was the first thing I listened to today and I wept, not just for the obvious reasons, but for the incredible beauty of the piece and the incredible beauty of the passion with which these artist rendered it. Thank you Arthur and Lucas. You brought beauty and and peace to a bittersweet moment for me. Much love and admiration to you both.

Due sere fa sono sono stata al loro concerto e dire che sono sublimi è poco. Ho avuto la fortuna di essere stata a pochissimi metri da loro e oltre al talento questi giovani musicisti hanno una solarità impressionante e con il loro forte carisma catalizzano l'attenzione. Bravi bravissimi 😍😍👏👏👏👏👏

What an ovation. Holland loves their native sons! What a joy it must have been to welcome them back to public performance. After three canceled trips I went to hear them at Tanglewood earlier in August with the Boston Symphony but they had to cancel at the last minute because of Covid travel complications after I was already traveling. I'm not giving up though.

Gorgeous. It's hard to imagine this was composed by a person who ended up in an asylum... I would love to hear this played by Clara, his wife (if only we could travel through time :) I can sleep peacefully now after listening to this... 👍
