Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has defended his decision to snub his ally, the United States of America. Netanyahu said that the U.S. abstention from the United Nations ceasefire vote "encourages Hamas." He said that he wanted to send out a message by not sending an Israeli delegation to the U.S. Israel cancelled the planned visit of a high-level delegation after the U.S. refused to veto the UNSC resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza on Monday.
