+Jack Mackey we'll see! nintendo has been doing some scary things in regards to fan covers / remixes, such as claiming videos for copyrighted content, while most other video game publishers encourage covers. it's a shame that nintendo owns many franchises with great music (pokemon, animal crossing, fire emblem, mario, zelda, etc.), because their copyright policies aren't exactly supportive of the fan creations, like what I do :p

+TeraCMusic Sure thing, glad to help. It isn't actual mispronunciation like saying syllabes in the wrong order but more of minute phonetic quirks of the accent, which is why it doesn't detract much from the cover, it's to be expected from natives to the germanic language family used to closed phonemes like english's and was also not pronounced enough to take away from the song's harmony. Some words, spefically those that end with an "i", have a slight shift in height of your tongue, rising it to occupy more space in the mouth, that causes it to sound a little more closed. Happens on the end of the "yawaku" word as well and on the very start on the A of "Utau" that goes into "Seihitsu". On "omou" at the end, you go for a more open pronunciation while japanese usually is spoken with closed O's, using more the throat than the mouth, I don't know how many exceptions are there though. As for the end of the cover, it gets slightly hard to understand so correct me if I'm wrong. There's a small closed mouth segment on T, K, and T again on "utakata" with some small hiss(?) common from the english pronunciation of these consonants, while japanese uses an open mouth for those. Then I have the impression that the followed "omoi"; is pronounced like "omomi" but I'm not sure. Later "minasuji" has a small mispronunciation on the J, making it sound like "di" while it should sound similar to how "gi" does in italian (random example, I know haha). Later, "wa" has a closed pronunciation, using a slightly closed mouth and retracted tongue instead of and open mouth and resting tongue. I'm a native speaker of portuguese, which makes big use open phonemes all the time like japanese does, so I'm familiar with the struggles people here have to adapt to the closed one from english and english speakers going the reverse way. I don't think anyone needs to pronounce a foreign language perfectly, but if you want to improve your accent those details are what I noticed and working on the tongue position would be my number 1 tip, japanese very often keeps the tongue glued to the bottom of the mouth. I'd love to contribute more but I don't have enough knowledge to. :( I hope it helps though! Oh, something else I forgot to say, your violin performance was superb. Hoping to see more collaborations in the future between you two.
