End of an Era Farewell to Southampton's Red Buses 19/02/23

On Sunday 19th February 2023 Southampton and District Transport and Heritage Trust put together an event to say Farewell to Southampton's Red Buses as First Bus City Red have ceased operating in Southampton. It was a great day to watch a variety of old buses giving people a free ride around Southampton, this is my video coverage of the event.

Many thanks Linda yes I'm back been having some health issues since last year also the wife passed away as well February 2022. I shall try and do more videos if and when I can Lynda so please bear with me.

Welcome back, Steve!! I have been waiting for a notification from you, so I know that you are still here. I am a retired bus driver with almost 50 years of service, and this is the perfect welcome back video for me. I attend similar events here in Sydney, Australia, and there is always a red London Route Master to take a ride on. I am amazed that the buses of my childhood and early bus career are now heritage listed. I think I should be heritage listed 🤔 when I ride on them now. Fantastic video Steve and I look forward to your next one 😀.

Thank you John, I have been having health issues for the past year having to attend hospital appointments now and then. I have had at least one operation in September last year and am on a waiting list for another operation also my dear wife who passed away a year ago didn't help either that is why I have not posted any further video's until yesterday. I think you covered some mileage yourself Steve in this vlog. Bus No. 481 Route 17 Weston at 2.18 was a Dennis brand here in NSW and livery was cream and pale green. Regards Lynne
