Thirdly I came to the Traveling Wilburys first out of my love for George since I'm a Beatles fan first and foremost... but... I just realized that this was the first time watching and hearing this song since the passing of the great Tom Petty. I think I need to listen to this song again. This time it'll be all for Tom.

My brother had built a 'scab' shelf for his radio and we listened to the radio all day sending all of the debris down in buckets because there were too many vehicles below to just throw everything down from forty feet up or so. George Harrison. A great guitarist, one of the best. I was devastated when I found out he was dead.

The greatest rockers of there time...and they are still great. Then to have them all together...at one time. It doesn't get much better then that. Long to be remembered as rock-and-roll icons!

such a difficult moment in this life for this one. it blows my mind and warms my soul that this song was written so long ago and still resonates so strongly with me.

Great version, great music. Mixed emotions when I listen. Sadness for those gone too soon, but happy that we got to appreciate their talent while they were with us. Maybe it will help us to learn to live in the moment more, enjoy it while we can.

I can't choose who was better I think I will call it a tie between the wilburys & the highwaymen both groups took some of the greatest legends in music & combined them to produce some of the best music of My generation in country & classic rock.

I wish the Wilburys had been as active in film and television as the Highwaymen; it would have been a blast to see them (even just cameo) in a Western comedy or other madcap movie!

The Travelling Wilburys were talented songwriters, talented musicians, and talented singers all in one. I wonder if there will ever be another group that had so much pure talent, or if it was a lightning-in-a-bottle part of music history.

God blessed us with these men, it's great to know that the one's who are gone are making music in heaven and we will see them again.

Thanks Sergio! The right thing to do right now is to listen to the music made by these men and their peers. Introduce them to someone that wouldn't normally choose to listen to them and chances are they'll love it. Maybe not right away but it will happen!

+Jason Burns it was actually an acknowledgement of there being 5 Wilburys and threw in that one about Harrison though you had already mentioned him as being the most talented. Anyway he was extremely talented and right to the end I might add. They are all music gods, put them in a band and you get a timeless wonder Happy days

I think George Martin is often referred to as the 5th Beatle. He was their producer and many of his ideas made it onto their records.

Such a great song, my wife loves it so much she even lets me turn up the receiver as loud as I want, which is unusual;) I have a few ELO records and I hate to admit it, but just now realizing who Jeff Lynne is. Ugh, I'm embarrased. I miss Tom so much. I think his music was so ubiquituous and listenable that I didn't appreciate him enough. Almost just took him for granted, if you can understand that. I think I was ten when I purchased Full Moon Fever on CD, back when they came with that big ol' long skinny box. Remember those? Been a fan ever since. I can only imagine the sadness people who have loved him since the 70s feel. He's gonna be missed, but he changed the world for the better. I think all of us have that basic wish in our hearts. What an artist! As is every single dude in this group.
