Glad to see that you posted more videos. Congrats on being so close to graduation. I just graduated with my master's in December, so now I have more time for cross stitching lol :)
Thanks for taking the time to update us on what you’ve been working on! You’re definitely in a season of life where stitching needs to take a backseat, but I’m glad you keep pulling it out as you’re able. On your Autumn Sampler, I would recommend keeping it a little on the larger size, simply because of all the backstitching. And does that have fractionals along the edges of things, too? Pieces like that can be nice on something like 32 count over 2. Then you get a nice stitching-to-backstitching ratio, you have an easy way to make the fractional stitches (since you won’t have to pierce the Aida), but it’s a touch smaller than 14 count stitches. Just something to think about. 😊
I’m so happy to see another video! You’ve got some good progress in your pieces considering how busy you are! Your MFE tile piece is beautiful. I live the colors you’ve chosen. Good luck on your last semester! You’re in the home stretch!
I’m so bad about commenting on peoples videos too! I have been watching you since I first started stitching and even if your posts are random I think we all love your style so much we will still watch lol. 🤍🤍
I’m always excited to see one of your videos pop up! Fingers crossed for your last stretch of college 🤞🏼 I recently started doing flosstubes as well, it’s so nice to be part of this big community ♥️
Congrats on almost graduating!! You did it!!! Your projects are all looking awesome!! Hope you find more time to stitch after school is done. Happy New Year!!
I think it’s great you’re able to keep up with your Flosstubes while going to school! I want to warn you, though, that Student Teaching takes up a LOT (if not ALL) of your time. You might find that in your “downtime” you just want to stitch and unwind - which is honestly what I would suggest to you, having been in your shoes. Not trying to be negative or dissuade you from trying to keep up with Flosstube - but just want you to be prepared because you are going to be drained at the end of each day (and then you’ll still need to plan lessons, grade papers/projects, AND do work for your student teaching mentor as well). Best of luck to you on finishing your college journey and on student teaching!! I’m sure you’ll make an amazing teacher!
Hi Julie Don't be so hard on yourself. You are at a different stage in your life to a lot of stitchers and have a lot on your plate with study and working, things will change once your study is finished. I love your Hidden Harbour piece, the colours are great! Wishing you well for 2024 and good luck for your upcoming graduation in May. Hugs Marie
thank you! it’s just personal preference, i like my finished pieces to be a bit smaller than 18ct allows for! hoping my eyes stay sharp enough for a while haha
