Love that you are taking care of yourself and understanding that it’s ok to say no. I’ve been coming to this realization myself and that sometimes the only person who will stand up for you is you. Just read an article that was about things we realize in our 30’s that was enlightening lol. I’m also in the boat of being stressed about finally finding someone a partner in my life. I’ll be turning 37 and have started wondering what’s wrong with me or am I too picky. The stress is real of feeling the clock ticking when my number one dream in life was to be a mom. It’s scarry. Thank you for sharing your experience with us I value your thoughts and always look forward to my twenty minute break with you when a video comes out. Also I really loved the gift idea video last year and have been on the lookout in case there would be another this year. Hope you take care and find your happy spot in the world. ☺️

I turned 35 this year and this is the year I met my person. ❤ I want to encourage everyone to not be worrying or afraid about when your person will come. Waiting for the right person is ALWAYS better than settling for something that isn’t right or what you want. I met him after I accepted that it may not happen for me, but that would be fine because I enjoyed my life, family/friends, and career. Hope this helps!
@trainergrace

No! Sometimes your person will never come and that is fine to.
@Katie1812.
@Katie1812. 6 месяцев назад
@trainergrace agreed. Expecting your happily ever after only sets you up for disappointment if that doesn’t happen. You may find a few people throughout life that you connect with but don’t end up with any of them **forever**. And that’s okay. Ofc if you believe in soulmates so be it but accept that some part of you may be let down if at the end of the day if you don’t end up with *your person** like a character in a romance novel.
@natatatt

Really like the sentiment of waiting for the right person instead of settling. But you also might never meet the right person, so it's important to be okay with that too. I'm slightly older than you and still haven't met my person, so I am formulating a different path (solo motherhood) while still keeping an open mind.

I married at 42. I worked to grow my career and relocated to Miami, New York City, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and finally back home to Seattle. I loved my work but finally felt disconnected from family and good friends and I really missed Washington State. I reconnected with my newly divorced first love and four years later, married him and set up house together. It’s now 30 years later and we’re still married and experiencing retirement and old age together. Life is very good as I’m surrounded by my beautiful extended family and the freedom to shape our days exactly as we choose. I’m grateful to God for His guidance!

I met my person at age 32 and got married at 36. The best part about getting married when you are older is that you are more confident in who you are and what you want for your life. You are a terrific young woman and your person is out there! Here's to a great 2024!!

I met Nick May 2016. I was 35, he was 37. Neither of us had been married before. Our first date was the first wkend in June. Found out we were pregnant Sept 6. Got engaged that Xmas. Bought a house in Feb. Got married in March. Our son, John, was born in May 2017. We had two more babies in July 2018 & Aug 2019. Sure made up for lost time! Living the suburban mom life I prayed for so many nights. I had reconciled with maybe just being an awesome aunt, and I would’ve been (I AM actually!), but i feel so blessed every day that I finally met Nick in a dive bar we’d both been to a million times.

I’m 38, 39 in January and I just found my person and got married last year! I’m from the US and my husband is from Tunisia. We met on FB dating of all things. In my late 30’s I was with a bad partner during the pandemic and after that breakup found comfort in healing myself and realizing being alone was better than someone that doesn’t fit your morals. I became content in hope that there was still someone out there for me. I never in my wildest dreams did I think I would meet my husband from the internet. Nor did I ever imagine that he would be from across the world. You never know what is just around the corner of your life. Whomever reads this, I pray you have a blessed day. Taylor thank you for encouraging dialogue amongst your followers.

My mother was getting married at 31 to a man, and three days before the wedding (in England) called it off after meeting my dad by happenstance (like she was looking out the window, saw him, and asked to join him on his walk). They got married 3 months later, and now it’s been 34 years. This may not be in mid-30s but I hold onto the fact that the right person, at the right time will always be there.

I lost my father in '23. I cared for him three years, and I am really happy I had this time w/ him. He was 93, and had a wonderful life. I hated to lose him, but he left me many, many wonderful memories. I visit him often. The tragedy in losing a loved one is those left behind try to grab as much as they can. The greed! I hate this!!!!! Hoping '24 will be better, and a year from now all this will be finished, and i will be on the other side.❤

I’m usually not one to comment but there was just something about this video that just left me compelled to change that - likely because I feel like I can relate in a lot of ways. I’m 33, soon to be 34 and have been single for nearly 7 years now and to say that it’s been hard at points is a complete understatement. I don’t know if this is at all helpful but after years of “square peg, round hole” syndrome I’ve just reached a point of complete surrender. I’m trusting that god, the universe (whatever that looks like for someone) has a bigger plan in store for me. My mentality is now - I will 110% have my person and when, where, who, etc. is not for me to know until it’s time and that it will be well worth the wait. WAY easier said than done (especially as the fertility clock continues to go tick tock - men are so lucky lol) and I’ve only reached this place after years of doing the exact opposite. I know as you reflected on 2023 it wasn’t 2022 levels of awesomeness but in my mind I’m just imagining you as the arrow in the bow being pulled back only to be released and shoot forward to places you could’t have dreamed of in 2024. That’s what I’m hoping for us both anyways 🙂 Sorry for the novel but I love your videos so much and obviously we don’t get to see every aspect of your life but I’m so appreciative for how much you do share as I’m sure so many of us are. Hope you enjoy a well deserved break and come back into the new year feeling refreshed and ready for a whole year of new adventures ❤

Oh Taylor, I hear the longing in there. Ive never felt like a traditional path was for me. I had a wonderful relationship for most of my thirties until it wasn't, we ended things , and I was crushed. Had a few dark years where I felt unmoored and was trying to blow up my life (in a positive way), and then the pandemic hit and everything came to a halt and it was so lonely. Time eventually healed. Then I met my current partner at 40 (and he at 45) and we marvel at how this was the right time for both of us. Our weird aligns and I'm so in love. You have time. Never settle.

Hi Taylor! The places you traveled this year seemed to be good for your soul such as Sedona, Colorado, Crater lake, spending extra time with your close friends and family etc… Maybe think of it not as coasting, but making conscious effort to actively rest. You picked places that were healthy for YOU and that is so important. Thank you for taking us along with you! I’ve been a subscriber for a long time and love your content girl! ETA: I started all over at 32 years old after being with my ex for 15 years and the relationship ending unexpectedly. Hey all. Keep the faith. 35 was a hard year for me - I had always thought I'd be married and have kids by then. But when I turned 35, I was still very single and no kids in sight. I cried for 3 days. By then I had become comfortable with the possibility that I'd never get married or have kids. One month later, I happened to meet my now husband. Four months after we met, we welcomed a brand new baby boy we had the opportunity to adopt. It has its ups and downs, but I wouldn't change it for anything.

I was in a relationship for 9 years with the person I thought I would marry. Things fell a part and we broke up the day after my 38th birthday. While I was infinitely happier on the other side of that relationship (it had been over long before it ended. I think due to being scared about ending a 9 year relationship in my late 30s!) I was scared that I might never find someone and have the family I've wanted for so long. 3 months later I met my person. We were engaged within a year and married 6 months after that and I cannot believe how happy I am, and we are. It can happen at any time.

I now have a 4 year old boy and of course my oldest, now 16. We bought a house and are so in love. Also being a toddler mom in my 30s is so much better. I have more time, life experience. I never take time for granted. It will happen when it is supposed to. Also I met my hubby at happy hour after work. (Didn’t work at the same place). This year was so hard but made me stronger than I ever knew I could be. It was the third year in a row my husband (military) was gone for 50% or more of the time. We have three kids. While overseas our middle child was diagnosed with autism. We moved the end of last year to Washington so it has been a time full of grieving and finding strength, and replanting our family, finding our new village. My first dog passed away suddenly, I’d had her for 12 years. Through graduating high school, college, becoming a wife and mom. That was such a difficult goodbye. My Mom has also had some major health declines, she’s now in final stage kidney failure. I’ve found strength I never knew I had, grown my faith, marriage, family deeper than ever. I’m hoping next year is full of healing, peace and rest.

I think I'm doing a pretty good job (props to my husband for his unwavering support) but I'm slowly realizing that this will likely be the last year my mom remembers me. I know, heavy, but you asked! That's also why I love your videos, regardless of theme. It's an escape & it's needed, so THANK YOU!

Taylor - ok, one phrase for you to consider - Let go of the life you EXPECTED to make room for the life you will live. I believe when we try engineer our outcomes (have "faith in your intuition") we block out so many opportunities, so many relationships...I am 67, with a husband who is living on borrowed time (metastatic cancer) and rather than wasting time on grieving while he is alive, I trying to build a foundation for the life I never expected - and this mindset has helped tremendously.

I’m 36 and currently single. I love watching your videos because I can relate so much on the relationship front. Do I need someone? No, I’m very independent with a good career, but I also get into those periods of frustration wondering when a relationship will come along. I’m like you and I just am trusting that the right person will come along eventually.

I was in a relationship for 7 years and in that 7th year many things took place that led me to jump ship even though it was scary as hell and then within 1 year i was getting married to another person i was 34 and now we have been married 7 years and have 2 kids a dog and a beautiful home! Soooo ... have faith that it will happen and obviously be prepared because it more likely than not it will come flying at you when you least expect it. Follow your gut, you will know.

I wholeheartedly agree to wait and not settle for less in a partner. I found my now husband in my mid-thirties and got married at 36. Had a second baby at 38. I am so glad I waited. I was more mature, I was secure in who I was. I was secure in my career. I was also more patient having a second baby later in life. Dating in your 30’s is hard, I met a lot of men that were not appropriate for me. I was wise enough to see that!! I can say I immediately was calm when I met my husband and knew it was different. Trust the journey. Don’t settle.

I met my now husband 3 years ago. We got married 2 months ago today. I turned 40 this year. One thing I told myself over the years when I'd start to get discouraged about finding my person was that I'd rather wait for the right fit than force the wrong fit. I think another thing that helped me was that I was very content to live life on my own. I wanted a partner, but I didn't need one. I could take care of myself. That helped me find someone that was a good addition to my life and not changing my life to find someone to make fit.

As for the not married/planned place in life- this year at 33 I left my 13 year relationship. The fire had died and no matter how hard I tried to reignite and fix it, I couldn't. So it was time to let go. I'd been mentally done for over a year, but leaving takes courage. So after I got the courage to I made a tinder with very very low hopes but I didn't know where to start. Fast forward 5 months and I meet one of my matches. Here we are 7 almost 8 months later. I have never felt so much love, support, growth and alignment as I have found in this person. This new relationship made me see just how much u had compromised in what I was looking for and now I don't even have to ask it just comes easy. We have talked marriage and a family and for once I have very little uncertainty that life will always be lonely for me. There is hope. ♡

Hello! I started dating my husband at 33yo (we were friends for 5yrs), and we got married 1/1/23 when I was 36yo so nothing wrong with finding your person later in life! We were both single and talking about how we had separately given up on dating and were just focusing our life on ourselves (respectively) and we ended up realizing we wanted similar things in a partner and our “no list” for a partner were the same and he asked me out on a date. It can definitely happen when it’s the right time for you, even if you don’t realize it at the time. I hope you and your family have a fabulous holiday season and that you have a great time off!!

Enjoy your time off. It’s so true that we get burned out with our jobs. And time off definitely helps. I was 45 when I divorced after 25 yrs of marriage. I had no idea how to even start dating. It was so scary. I had one relationship for about 2 yrs and it was a nightmare. I’m currently engaged after being with my guy for almost 3 yrs. We met on Facebook dating. I didn’t do dating sites but took a chance on that one. It took a while but I was ok being by myself. I realized I would rather be alone than be with someone who makes me miserable. There is always hope and when u least expect it that’s when it happens. I’ve always believed that and can say I’m very happy now. Have a great holiday ❤

This is the year I am learning to give my self grace. I turn 50 in January. For the last 15 years I have been struggling health wise. I am learning to rest and not push through. I am learning to be ok with not being ok. Just staying in that moment and trying to remain peaceful. Looking for potential lessons to learn from this season of my life. I have to say…..you are a giant inspiration and blessing to me. Watching you struggle with the health stuff and seeing you wrestling with that line….do I rest or do I push through….has been so helpful to me. I feel like I never know which is the right answer. And what I am finally learning is that there is never a right answer. There is a try and reevaluate. I get so in my head about making a wrong decision that I become afraid to make any decision. I just wanted you to know….i appreciate you for putting your life out there. What started out as me learning to play with makeup at 40 because of major surgeries has turned into me becoming a better me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your role in that process. Here is to a year of coasting and learning to give ourselves grace❤️❤️

I got married when I was in my early 20s and divorced after less than 3 years. I was single for a long time and was approaching 30 thinking omg if I am still single when I hit 30 this would be a disaster. Well little did I know God had a plan for me. I hit 30 and decided not to care. I would live life on my terms and not even worry about meeting anyone. I finally met my person at 32 years old through a mutual friend and realized we had taken the same parallel path our whole lives. Grew up in the same town, went to the same college, and my best friend married his best friend 5 years prior. And we finally met… at the perfect time in our lives and exactly when we needed to. 4 years later we are happier than ever and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. Moral of the story is your path will happen the way it should ☺️

I don’t like associating a more busy year with growth. The busiest people I know are often running from something, trying to fill time so they don’t have to deal with or face certain things. Looking back I’d say I had selective year. Selective on who was getting my time, where I was going to spend my energy, etc. I put my health front and center with dedicating time to weight lifting 4x a week, hiking on the weekends etc. Also Homeschooling my kids has just been such a joy. I love the more time at home and less rushing around especially in the mornings. Witnessing their growth every single day has just been a blessing. Also picked up a new hobby, sourdough bread making. I am loving it. It’s such a grounding experience where I can’t do anything else but focus on making the bread. So it’s very peaceful for me and may lead to me starting my own farm stand where I sell my boules in the new year. Here’s to me continuing on being more selective on who and what is getting my time and energy 🎉

Hi Taylor, I met my husband when I was 31! So don't lose hope the right guy will come along at the right time. We just happen to be in the right place at the right time very randomly. I knew the second I saw him I had to talk to him and so did he. We were both with our group of friends at separate tables at a restaurant at the beach in my hometown ironically when I was just visiting one day. (I don't live there anymore and very rarely do I ever go back there LOL). He was also just there with his friends for the day and happened to live 20 mins from where I was living at the time...He came over and we ended up hanging out for hours on the beach with my friends. We exchanged numbers and continued to date, moved in together got engaged at 6 months, married in 1 yr and 4 months and here we are 6 yrs later! So in my experience, it will happen when you least expect it.

I have a chronic condition and I took on the task of finding a trainer that is familiar with those because understanding how my body works was important to me (and avoiding flare ups). I didn’t want to be in pain while working to get stronger. I reached out to a few trainers (started off by googling first) and they were able to lead me to my trainer I have now. She actually has the same chronic condition as I do too which has been very helpful. It takes work but you can find the right person to train you. Wishing you luck and wanted to encourage you. ❤

Hey Taylor! For me, this year was one of the most difficult & trying times (I won't go into detail here), but at the same time, a year of new opportunities and personal growth. It was a rollercoaster of a year, that's for sure! With these new opportunities, we might be moving from NY to NC, so im really excited about that!! I was born and raised in NY, so it's a big change, but I'm so ready. I actually need to find a good realtor to begin looking at houses. We'll keep our house here (as a rental property for a family). In my early 20s, I lived in Austin, TX, for 6 months (not for me), but that's it. I've traveled a lot in the past, and NC seems to be the best option for my family and for my husband's business. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, Fam & I hope you ALL have a wonderful New Year!! Xoxoxo ✨️ 🤗

I met my husband in my 30s! Much like the girl you referenced, I refused to compromise on what I wanted. He was traveling from the West Coast (San Diego) on a road trip across America. We had one date. I took him to Elvis’ birthplace. We ate sushi. He bought me a dozen white roses and promised he’d come back when his trip was complete. It was the best twenty-four hours. We had an instant connection, an undeniable familiarity. Over the next ten days, he wrote me postcards, ordered me takeout from across the country, and bought me thoughtful gifts as he traveled. Then, after driving the whole of the East Coast and spear hunting boar in Florida, he showed up at my door with another dozen roses, fixed everything that could ever need fixing around my house, met my parents, cooked for my friends, built me a front porch swing, and then we eloped less than a month after meeting. Almost six years later, it still feels like a dream. We have an almost five year old little girl and have built the life we always wanted. Can't wait to see you meet your match! Everyone says it, but it's true-- it will happen when you least expect it. Keep your heart open and don't try to orchestrate anything. Life will do that for you if you let it. ❤

My friends always teased me that I was too particular and was never going to find someone. I waited way more years than I wanted to, but I found my now husband at the age of 39. We were married when I was 41 and he is everything I was looking for. I now know that if we had met younger we probably would not have gotten together because both of us still had growing to do to become who we are now. Sometimes you have to wait, way past what you think you will be waiting, but when you find the RIGHT ONE you see why it took so long. It’s easy to say now, but don’t fret, when it’s time and you find the one, you’ll know; and if you don’t know, it’s not time yet.

I met my husband at age 40. We met online. I had never had a serious relationship, lived with anyone, until I entered into this relationship. I grew up in a fundamental religion in a very conservative place. I am a highly sensitive, extroverted-introvert, empath and former workaholic with as much baggage as anyone else. I never thought I would meet someone who was an a real adult - someone emotionally aware and mature and willing to meet me halfway in everything. He has all his own baggage and trauma and there are things we know we missed (if we had met sooner, we may pursue things like having kids) but I would never have imagined someone like him existed let alone that we would met and fall in love.

I was engaged at 35 to a man I met online. As the wedding approached, I panicked, realizing I wouldn’t be happy married to this person. I placed so much pressure upon myself and felt like the clock was ticking, but my overall joy was more important, so we called it off. I prayed and prayed to God, with hope, to literally place someone in front of me, a man who shared the same beliefs, who would bring me out of my shell, someone I could sing and serve with. At 40, I went to my faiths community center to see a performance, and there he was, on that stage, passing through for one night. We married a year later and I got pregnant with our daughter at 42 years old. She is now 11 and the light of our home. ❤️

In 2023, I turned 38, have never been in a relationship and I met my person playing a game on my phone. Started off as friendly banter, helping him thru a divorce & getting back into the dating game. Visited him in May (he lives 14 hours away) and we just looked at each other and said why aren’t we together? He went back home last week after spending the holidays with my family and I. Met him at a point in my life where I just got comfortable with the fact I was going to be alone for the rest of my life. You really never know what life has in store for you but no matter what, be happy with yourself, that’s what’s most important ❤️

But I’ve also realized that pushing myself towards growth every year instead of enjoying how far I’ve come, practicing my new habits, and taking a beat on the mental load will absolutely lead me to life burnout. Love your channel and enjoy your holiday break!!

Oddly I am burning "Love You Loads" in my home today and boom! Here's a new vid from you. I think it's great how you reflect on your year and adjust/make goals for the next. Please enjoy your much deserved break and see you in the next one. 🖤

As a 58 year old with life experiences traveling, living in another country, married, divorced, remarried, I say just move and settle where you think feels like the right place. If it is meant to be, all other things will fall into place. I highly recommend the book In The Meantime by Iyanla Vanzant for you to read. It is a book that I will never forget reading and helped me tremendously at a time when I needed it. Wishing you all the best with your decision 🥰

My gosh, watching this again this year it’s amazing to see how much has changed over the years with you. I’ve been watching your videos since the beginning, I think you had around 15-20k subscribers. I watched your videos through college and in the shared house all the way through to now and it’s been not only a pleasure but I’ve loved watching you grow and change over the years. I feel like I’ve known you as a friend. It’s been hard sometimes to see your pain and wonderful to see your accomplishments. Thank you for continuing to just be you!

Taylor, I met my significant other on Match two years ago. I prayed for a God fearing family man and I am so blessed to have met him. I am 35 (never married, no kids). I feel we will be engaged soon. The dating apps can be disappointing but we are both two successful people that happened to be on there at the same time. Happy Holidays Taylor! I’ve been watching you for years. I went through accurate shortly after your journey and followed all your tips! I appreciate and enjoy your videos.

Met my hubs at age 37, married him at 39. I loved getting married later in life. You know what you want, you are usually financially stable, you’ve sowed your wild oats and then you can now settle down and enjoy marriage. He will show up at the right time!

A trainer with an understanding of chronic pain and functional movement instead of aesthetics is my 2024 goal as well!
