Endangered Laysan Ducks at the Radar Seep on Midway Atoll 

Laysan ducks are curious birds and will often approach me when I'm doing surveys to more closely watch me count them with my binoculars. On a recent morning, I found 109 ducks at the Radar Seep, a pond habitat created for them at the base of Radar Hill on Sand Island.
