Dr Sharon Sunny talks about "Endemic Mycoses in South Africa". Endemic mycoses included diseases such as histoplasmosis, emergomycosis, blastomycosis and sporotrichosis. They typically occupy a specific ecological and geographic niche. However, "endemic" regions have expanded and there are increasing reports of cases in sub-Saharan Africa. Sharon will go though the clinical features and available diagnostics for endemic mycoses in SA.
