I try to provide a quick snapshot of what the board will be the most fun for with the ratings! They should be considered as a rough estimate though, its tough to put a number on these things.

Hey TJ, thanks for the review. I was wondering why you gave this board a 5/10 for carving. The tech you described seems like it would be really good for carving. Is there something about this board that made it fall short? Also, is there a particular Bataleon board that would be more ideal for carving? Thanks

This is still a fun board for carving, I will add a 5/10 rating for a pretty average carving experience I wouldn't say that is bad. It just isn't specialized in that area. Its tough to know how the numbers will be perceived. I probably should have went with a 6 for this one. I like the bataleon cruiser for carving with its width and directional features, but the 3BT takes a bit of getting used to. The party wave is a really fun board for carving as well. Super wide platform to lay turns over.

definitely more versatile and freestyle friendly than the archetype. A solid all around resort board. The Archetype is still very versatile for a swallow tail but will be more limited with stability and switch. I have an archetype review coming soon.
