Memories of John Peel! Absolutely love this and remember it 40 years later! I was just composing a new song and the keyboards reminded me of it. The backwinding on the original demo was absolutely amazing.
@@ajs41 It was considered one of the most rare and sought after alternative tracks during the 80s and 90s. Back then, a copy could fetch over $120. Now, the market has since been flooded with many releases.
a danceable fun edgy song in the 80s synth wave style. seems tame now but was very groundbreaking at the time with its loopy harpsicord and backing male tenor angel singers. good job boys...to scotland with love from canada xxx
love this song! first heard it on CFNY in toronto. spent a long time looking around record storers for it. very rare and hard to find! thx for uploading! 🖤 🙏 ✨
If you can track it down, this track and alot of other great ,hard to fnd tracks that are awesome are on a disc called Hardest Hits, an 80's compilation. It is on one of them. There is volume 1 to 4 as I recall. Maybe distributed by rhino. Great disc if you can find it.
I was obsessed with this single... it was rare and they had a copy at the Record Peddlar? in Toronto for 150 bucks or something like that... of course I never bought it
OMG Jeff! I remember that copy at the Record Peddlar. It was legendary and very expensive. I eventually got an cover version of the song but NOTHING compares to the original. xxx Mama
+Jeff Yardley Yes, I too remember this song was worth $150! I also remember The Puppets - Way of Life also fetching about the same! I even went to Virgin records in Leeds UK looking for this title, but no luck. Wasn't until SPG music brought out the Hardest Hit's Collection did everyone get their hands on it. I DID know a girl who's boyfriend shelled out the $300 for the two songs, and gave me a copy on cassette! Nothing like CFNY from the 80's! Shame how Don Berns passed away about 9 months ago :-(
What an idiotic video they have. They have video footage of a hip hop club the last people on the planet who would listen to some sort of Gothic alternative music
I've just discovered Soma FM. They were already playing a lot of my favourite songs, like A Way You'll Never Be by Leisure Process from 1982. I recently uploaded a re-mastered version of the video for that song.
