I am going on an Alaskan cruise in about three weeks and my whole reason was to get up close to a glacier and hopefully see a calving. The excursions are all so expensive but up to a point I am willing to pay. Which excursion did you take?
To us, the price was well worth it to see the glacier up close and we got to see it calving. However, how close you get does depend on the weather for the day. This excursion was the Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier Explorer from Royal Caribbean. It filled up fast, but I was able to find a couple spots about a week before we cruised! Have fun! Alaska is beautiful!
I would love top do this excursion! We are also taking quantum of the seas in July of 2024. Which stop do you pick tip this excursion? They have us going to Sitka, Skagway, Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier then Juneau. Appreciate any help because I def want to do this one!
This is the endicott arm day! There is limited space, and I think the excursion doesn’t even open until a few weeks before you cruise! It’s amazing if you can book it though!
It’s on the Royal Caribbean excursion site, but keep looking! We checked multiple times and never saw it! Ours popped up only a few weeks before we cruised! I don’t know if it’s due to availability or what
