On June 28, 2024, the Liberation Hub team embarked on a transformative journey to Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District in the Central Region. But this visit was different. We were deeply moved by their stories and felt compelled to act after hearing about their urgent needs.
The struggles we heard were heart-wrenching. These young girls, faced with limited resources, resorted to using handkerchiefs, leaves, old clothes, tissues, and even socks as makeshift sanitary products. Many miss school during their menstrual days, and some are pressured into sleeping with pursuers just to afford pads. Their resilience in the face of such adversity touched us deeply.
