Was hoping for something a little more complicated Didn't add anything to my knowledge. Need more detail i.e COPI and II vesicles and vesicular tubular clusters or more about the Golgi-E.R retrieval pathway were soluble proteins require a receptor for their 4-amino acid recognition sequence (KDEL).

The mRNA does not find a ribosome associated with the endoplasmic reticulum. Translation always begins in the cytosol, then when the ribosome gets to the signal sequence of the mRNA, then the ribosome and mRNA attach to the endoplasmic reticulum and translation proceeds there.

What happens to the protein inside of the ER? Does it just get wrapped up and sends it to places? And where else does he proteins move inside the cell? (Besides the golgi body)

so is the cytosol the same as the cytoplasm, its just cytosol is more specific meaning out the substance between the organelles, or do you know have to know them both? and would you be penalised if you didnt?

Lol cytosol is everything that surrounds the organelles of the cell meaning without the Endoplasmic reticulum, nucleus... While cytoplasm is everything in the cell as a whole

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that PROTOplasm is everything inside the cell, which Sal confuses here for CYTOplasm, which is the gel like fluid around the organelles.

Cytoplasm= includes everything in the cell except the nucleus. Cytosol= soluble part of cytoplasm (gel-like fluid)

If you want to know what Cytogel is, its a company. But I'm pretty sure it's Cytosol but he might have said cytogel in the video. Cytosol is, in short, a water based solution that contains ions, small molecules, and macro molecules. It is a place where a lot of metabolic reactions take place.

It is wrong to say that the protein is synthesized in the ER. It should be made clear that only specific ones are going there, the ones which have specifiek signal sequence for it. Some protein are synthesized in the cytosol.
