Extreme single track moto trip to Colorado! High mountain peaks, alpine meadows, creek crossings, desert, hill climbs, crashes, tight fast single track and wide open fields. This trip had it all. Our second major trip included multiple locations including Grand Junction, Rico, Priest Gulch and Taylor Park region. Reaching mountain peak elevations near 13,000 feet and desert floors near 4,500 feet. We came prepared for 8 days of riding from one extreme to the other.

For 5 years I hauled my bike to Colorado and rode these trails. You must have fitness, skills, map reading ability.. courage. Yogoing 80 miles then finding the gas station at Taylor Park.

Grand Junction, Colorado Large scramble area like caineville except 1000 times larger. Something like Grand valley ohv or something. Priest Gulch for the Calico Trail System and Taylor Park. I have other videos on my page that narrow down some of the trails we hit by name. Under the Colorado playlist.

The desert area with the open hills and jumps is in Grand Junction, Colorado. Grand Valley OHV area. Best place to park is off 27 1/4 road past the airport.

8:18 These are some gnarly climbs, ,impressive. If any of you were about 125lbs, would a CRF 150RB get up these hills with no problem as well as the bikes you're riding?

KeYLiMe 246 San Juan mountains outside of Rico and opposite side of the road from calico trail. Something canyon is what we dropped into and ran a bunch of trails from there. Name is eluding me at the moment and don’t have my computer

Lived in Colorado for 67 years and I know I've ridden that trail multiple times. Just guessing but looks like star trail or timberline or other gnarly trail that my 'seasoned' body struggles with. I was camping at Taylor park this summer and did some of my old favorites (like bear creek) but had to limit myself since I was by myself...

Sweet video with some great riding my man! Some of those loose hill climbs in GJ can get pretty sketchy, filled my gear up with dirt tumbling down hills a time or two out there!

Enjoyed watching...some of that was pretty sketchy, had me slightly worried about y'all's safety. Be safe out there. I wonder if a built minibike could take some of that. Would be fun on a built trailmaster

Getting my KTM 250 xcfw tuned up and ready to hit the trails. Any trails you'd recommend in Colorado? Recovering from a mountain bike knee injury and I still feel the need for speed. I'm expert mountain bike, noob on the dirt bike.

Well I'm Not Tellinya! LOL. Sorry, I only run GPS to get me out of trouble. I can give you some of the areas though. We ran by maps.

Beta420 the first three minutes are near Rico. Same side of the road as priest gulch campground. After minute 3 until the desert was Taylor park (doctor park trail) after the desert (grand junction Colorado) it is a mix of trails around priest gulch including calico trail and Taylor park area trails.

Beta420 also, if you not from out west, don’t go there until around mid July and before late October. High elevation snow is unpredictable and gives times for the trails to be cleared from downed trees over the winter

Thanks, i was looking at the end of July for that reason. Been west a few time but not CO. If you get a chance to go up by Salt Lake UT there is some great single track areas.

I do remember most of them or at least can put you in the general trail system and really close to it. Are there ones of particular interest because this is 8 days compiled together.

There is no real name to anything we rode in Grand Junction. Some of the locals I think have names for them, such as Pinnacle climb and the big skinny. I have some other videos under my Colorado playlist on my youtube page of these singling out a few things. The entire area where we ride there is a scramble area. Toward Fruita, there are more designated trails on the book cliffs I believe. We are not from there, but we parked at the 27 1/4 road past the airport, with most of the stuff we rode in the video being to the right of the road. Follow the telephone poles toward the cliffs to find the big skinny and the ditch trail is not far from there either.
