Some onboard highlights of Donington Park 2023 EnduroKA testing and 5hr race, my first visit to the track.
I had sessions three and four in Friday testing, pushed the limits and went over a couple of times!
Sunday the area had a power cut which meant no qualifying, we had 3 laps each behind the safety car and drew lots for the grid to ensure we had time for the full race later that day. We started 11th out of 34.
I started the race - my first laps in the dry - and after an eventful 45mins pitted from 4th under SC.
My co-drivers Dave and Nick then drove for just over 3hrs in some wet weather and left me with the final hour in the (mostly dry). Strategy didn't work out great and we ran short of fuel leaving me to lift and coast the last 10mins but came home 14th with 166 laps, 5 off the lead. Car came home undamaged and no offs.
