Endzone a World Apart Review - Is it now worthabuy? 

I seem to remmeber you were a fan of Battle Brothers and The Darkest Dungeon. There's a game called Urtuk: The Desolation that's a mix between those two that you might like.

If you followed this rule youd have missed out on some of the best games ever made, just a little FYI (Witcher 3, and Darksouls 3 come to mind as two incredible games that mack has thumbs down for utterly hilarious reasons like "i dont like controllers")

Watching another review or 2 for the same game has never killed anyone

@@Jack_Sparrow_85 Lol, this is spot-on. It's hilarious but also kind of sad that Mack's tastes are so limited by things as simple as his refusal to use a controller. I guess that means pretty much any third-person action game will get the old thumbs down. The irony is that he will use a racing wheel for racing games instead of keyboard and mouse but won't use a gamepad for a third-person RPG. As I said, hilarious and sad.

It's actually best to make an informed decision based on *why* Mack likes or dislikes the game and not just *if* since some of his reasons are absolutely loony. He runs more of a comedy channel than an actual review channel. Watch ACG for actual reviews.

@@Jack_Sparrow_85 I like Mack's reviews a lot. I sometimes get a game anyway (more often at a sale then), and I also don't get all games he likes. But I always find the reviews well made and interesting, at times very hilarious. I think both good and bad games are good fuel for WAB. Only bland and indifferent games seem to be too boring and still Mack manages to make an entertaining review most of the time.

People watch for the reviews? I just thought we all came for Mack's personality

Haha I’m the same. I’m just PlayStation - never got into the PC building for games but his reviews are always good to watch because I like to see what else is out there. Plus he’s a legend.

@@baddiegaming758 ikr, I hope they continue to improve, the game has alot of potential. I have put this game on the back burner and wait for more polish, I'm hopeful in 6 months it will be quite good.

Endzone over Surviving the Aftermath. If StA keeps going that way, Paradox will change the devs for sure... Endzone is going to be supported too, with an AddOn later this year, so I guess we will see more improvements

@@errorisdei988 well decided to get Endzone and comparing that to 1 hour trail of the aftermath, endzone seems like it has abit more to it and more options for difficulty, the tutorial for endzone makes it so much more welcoming as the aftermath was without a clear tutorial maybe I missed it but wither way endzone is cheaper and seems more user friendly so definitely good purchase, the graphics are not too bad contrary to the review, but then again I’m not zoomed in all the time so I am more easily pleased than reviewers, but Mack is definitely my top reviewers alongside Angry joe.

Strongly depends on what type of game you like. For modern shooters you will need a top to high midrange gfx adapter, a fast CPU, plenty of RAM, min 16 GB. If you don't care as much about graphics, prefer strategy, Sims, etc, a solid midrange gfx card and CPU will do. Still would recommend min 16 GB RAM. Then you build the rest around it.

Yes, quite a lot actually. Surviving the Aftermath (StA) is pretty sterile game, with a surprisingly colorful world and somewhat cartoonish feel - just like Surviving Mars was, being developed by the same studio. Endzone has a darker feel to it and is more realistic I'd say. It lacks the depth I'd want to see in a game like this, but it IS still deeper than Surviving the Aftermath. The highlight of Endzone are quests and exploration. In the Endzone, when you explore, you don't visit the world map - everything is already on the map you start. But once you send an expedition, you actually need to prepare it, equip it, select specialized crew and so on. In StA you just send ONE specialist that is one man army, killing bandits, looting and so on. For example, if you send an expedition to a greenhouse, and you don't send some farmers with specific tools, you won't find new seeds and instead your crew will just return with some raw materials from dismantling the site. Or, if you visit the nuclear power plant, unless you outfit your expedition with the best gear, medicine, specialists and so on - you are going to get essentially a whole bunch of dead and dying settlers. When you get to a site, you get to choose what to explore and in what order. For example, I had stumbled upon a house where a woman with a shotgun was firing at me. I could talk to her or rush in the building. I talked and found out that her husband is sick in the other room. Because I brought medicine with me, I rescued them, brought them back to the camp and got some knowledge (science) points for it. If I had charged them, they'd probably end up dead and I'd have wounded and unhappy crew. Every expedition tells a small story. I really liked the mechanic. Also, there is a list of always changing quest you can undertake, with various rewards. Some are forced on you, some you can choose. And those three things - atmosphere, expedition and quests make the game an order of magnitude better and more immersive than StA. That being said, several mechanics are broken (like raiders that attack you constantly and that you can't really defend against) and after two or three playthroughs, it is just another boring builder. It is fun at the start and at mid game, but there is absolutely no end game content except an endless expansion. But I'd choose this game over Surviving the Aftermath any time. And if developer continue to support this game, add more content and fix the broken mechanics, it could actually be a really fun game with some replay value.

Just suggested this myself(along with 'Mr Prepper') - definitely one of the best city builders out there right now. Love how logistics heavy it is, it's nice to dig a little deeper than a lot of today's city builders.

@@RyTrapp0 I'll have to look into Mr.Prepper more. I saw SplatterCatGaming play it once but haven't heard or seen anything about it since then.
