Thanks for watching! What do you use enemas for, and how often do you do them? Tell us about it in the comments!

Your welcome. I started it long time ego after my test result of showing high amount of mercury. My doctor tried to do metal detoxing and I got really sick. My gut was not able to flush the toxic out. So she asked me to use sauna and also do coffee enemas. So I did that for awhile and I started to feel better. Then because of my other issues I continue to use it off and on. It really helped with my inflammation and mental clearing. But since I started carnivore/ keto and intermittent fasting my inflammation and mental state has improved and my body doesn’t seem to like it any more. Because of my eating habits now My body needs more electrolytes than before. Also I started showing sensitivity to caffeine. So no more coffee enema for me.

@@sharm8367 Thanks for sharing your experience...it sounds like you are very connected to what's happening in your body, which is so important. And it sounds like your body needs it's beneficial gut bugs to feel well (they often tank on the carnivore diet because they don't have anything to eat.) Thanks for watching!

You are right: Concerning enemas everyone should take them how the stomach feels, so to the best of your judgement: once or twice the month, once, twice or thrice the week, and there will exist people appreciating daily enemas, but pay attention upon the volume of and the additives to enemas!

Chronic constipated girly and enemas have been such a life saver for me!!! I didn’t know I could do them more than once a week safely, so after reading the other comments I feel really happy to know that! I typically do them once every 10 days or so and also take magnesium citrate and oxide. Thank you for this ❤

On average, about once a week. But I just go with how my stomach feels. Very gassy or bloated, yes. Ccnstipation, yes. Constantly feeling full, yes. I always feel so much better after an enema.

Your videos are knowledgable and supportive. I started used enemas for relief of diverticulitis discomfort and for cleaning out those pockets in the colon. I do a weekly series to empty out and clean the colon. I found that baking soda along wih some essential oils does give me relief. I return to normal movements the next day. I have had heart surgery 8 years ago, but am fine now and I do not see a problem with that and weekly enemas. I do follow up with metamucile and pro biotics. I have noticed the difference in my over all wellbeing. I do not fast

Notice the difference: Even in taking a high volume enema you will be able to cleanse exclusively your large intestine, but by swallowing 1 tablespoon (= 15 ml) castor oil you will not only be able to cleanse your bowels completely but further your liver from the toxins deposed there.

I've been doing MMS enemas everyday and I've been getting rid of parasites like crazy. I wait until after I poop in the morning and I use 32 oz of distilled warm water and anywhere between 2 -10 drops of MMS. Usually 16 oz to clean out anything that's still in there and then the rest to get the MMS absorbed in . Sometimes I might do it again later in the day if I'm having a herx headache. The amount of parasites that I've been killing is amazing and it's nice to see progress. Even in my 💩 the next morning I can smell the die off. People don't realize that were full of parasites.

Are enemas a safe way to prevent fecal incontinence? Perhaps every other day with regular, warm water?
@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition 2 года назад
Potentially. I do know a young person who has some bowel problems, and this is how his family has managed his fecal incontinence. In fact he does a daily clean out, and probably will for the rest of his life, as the problem is structural.

Been doing enema's daily for about 2 years. I got a message today for a clinical trial which uses a device for constipation. Really hard to decide. I think it's basically a colon massager wrapped around the stomach (outside). IF...i decide to give them a call, when asked, I dont' know if it would even be "appropriate" opening up to them telling i do enemas.
@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition 3 года назад
Well, I would probably divulge that...it might make it so they don't want you to participate in the trial because it might affect their result. Best to say so and let the study team decide if it's appropriate.

Hi I’m trying to help somebody here she I think two days in a row did an enema once and the reason why she started that because she has a lot of gas and she’s been cramping she’s right now experiencing acid reflects can she still do enemas with the acid reflex? Thank you
@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition 2 года назад
Well, I'm not her doctor, so I can't really comment on exactly what she should or shouldn't do, but in general, reflux isn't a contraindication for an enema, unless it makes the reflux worse consistently. One of my main mottos is don't continue to do something if it makes symptoms worse. I hope that helps!

What about using probiotics or tributyrate with enema water?
@rupabelel5865
@rupabelel5865 4 года назад
Doing enema once in 2 month is kind of ok......but if we do it frequently doesn't it will also destroy our gut bacteria balance.
@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition 4 года назад
Hi Rupa, great question. If you do enemas too frequently, yes, you could never allow your gut microbiome to reach a stable, healthy place. But for people wtih ongoing dysbiosis, or other challenges, sometimes the more frequent enemas can help improve the gut bacteria balance, by preventing SIBO, or other imbalance. Thanks for watching!

@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition 2 года назад
The one time I did a gallbladder flush, an enema the following morning was a huge relief, as I had felt nauseated the whole night. So yes, this would be a good time to use an enema, and in fact is recommended to help complete the flush. Thanks for watching!

If you or another reader could please inform me of what type of enema bag would be better to use to add MMS drops into the water. I am not sure if I could use a regular enema bag or a quality for MMS and any specific enema brand name.

Hi Jill, I think if you tolerate them well, they can be helpful. Typically, they are given in a series over a few months. I personally tried it and didn't feel good doing them, so stopped. I did an interview with a local colon hydrotherapist, here's that link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l8pHOzkz7no.html

Hi can I do enseñas to kill sibo ?
@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition 2 года назад
Hi Noema, for some reason RU-vid hid this comment from me for 9 months, so sorry I didn't reply! Did you mean enemas? Since SIBO is often a problem of motility (the speed with which food moves through your digestive system), and enemas help move things along, they can help support SIBO treatment, but they won't likely be enough to treat or kill SIBO, especially because the SIBO bacteria won't directly encounter the enema liquid. SIBO treatments need to be consumed by mouth for effectiveness, whether herbal or antibiotic options. Thanks so much for watching!
@noemachavez5604
@noemachavez5604 3 года назад
Enemas can kill sibo ?
@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition 3 года назад
Hi Noema, no, enemas usually only enter the lower colon. SIBO lives in the small intestine, far out of reach of an enema. What an enema can do to benefit SIBO is help you keep your gut motility moving, which prevents SIBO. But you likely want to find another way to do this more consistently than doing an enema every day, which I don't recommend. There are herbal products like Iberogast, and MotilPro, and also medications by prescription from your MD, like prucalopride or low dose erythromycin. Thanks for watching!
