Energy 101: Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings 

Pause....You can’t keep cold out. You can keep heat in though.

In warm climates, one of the best energy-efficient features is a cool roof, which is when the roof is highly heat-reflective. In warm areas, buildings' top energy demand is air conditioning. By reflecting heat instead of absorbing it (like typical asphalt shingles) can keep a roof ~40 deg F cooler, which then keeps the attic cooler, as well as the rest of the building. Keeping the building cool improves quality of life, reduces energy consumption, and saves the building operator money. Cool roofs also keep the local area cooler. If every building in a city used cool roofs, the city's average temperature would be several degrees cooler. If used around the world, cool roofs alone alone could offset the effects of CO2 from every car on the road.

Great presentation, but omitted using ground source heat pump system first before putting up solar panels. Ground source heat pump system will save half the number of solar panels needed. Ground source heat pump system uses four parts free energy under your feet plus one part energy from solar panels to heat, cool and provide hot water.

and then covid happened.

No mention about air tightness? Very big omission.

to control atmosphere ,environment , weather we should develop LEED Buildings
