We Congratulate S.Firasat Shah Sahib for his very detailed report about attempts for oil and gas exploration in Pakistan. After independence of Pakistan made speedy industrial progress in all areas so much so that, Pakistan was giving loan to Germany etc .Pakistan was among the top Ten highly developed countries in the Telcom Sector with direct dialing facilities in Majority of cities of Pakistan. This was all because at that time Pakistan had a Very effective Planning Commission of Pakistan manned with highly qualified technical professionals to look over Development of lndustries in East & West Pakistan under Supervision of Specialist Heads of different sectors. After enforcement of Martial Law in October, 1958 Planning Commission was disbanded and things were decided on day to day basis. The Rising Pakistan got slowed down. Over the years, Pakistan became poor and started depending on Foreign Loans and Help. The Leadership could not understand and did not Rectify the problems. Now Pakistan has become a Poor and Banana Republic. Government of Pakistan needs to approach and convince Chinese Companies to participate in Offshore Oil & Gas Exploration. l am sure Chinese have the required expertise to help discover Oil and Gas in Pakistan's Indus Basin.
