Korea and Turkiye are brother countries. During the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup, Koreans cheered for Turkiye hard. In return, when Korea and Greece played in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Turkish immigrants in Germany and Northern Cypriots would have cheered for Korea as well. After Korea beat Greece 2-0, Turkish immigrants and people from North Cyprus in Germany would have been happy with Korea's victory.

An elderly Korean man gave me candy and thanked for the Korean war after finding out that I‘m from Turkey.
