Take a walk around the #Enforcer 75’ aluminum #AerialLadder with Tom Smits. The 22” front bumper extension has a trash line, accommodating up to 100’ of 1.75” hose. The Enforcer chassis features the single bonded windshield and the low access step heights. You have the capability to add up to two more seats in the crew cab or EMS compartments. There’s a dunnage area above the pump that can house loose equipment. The body has full height, full depth compartments with adjustable shelving. The split hosebed can accommodate 1000’ of 5” or 700’ of 5” and 600’ of 3”.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm a Pierce fan from way back but is Tom been sipping a little backwoods hooch or is he that uninformed about what the hell he's talking about, personally I would try to at least make a more professional video when trying to represent the most elite of the fire apparatus in the industry! Is E one trying to pull one over on us or what? Really? If this dude's a senior sales and let's a video post on RU-vid like this all I can say is Thank God the employees building these units aren't as lost as this Goober? I mean was Larry the cable guy booked up or what?🤔 somebody please put this fella back on the floor pulling the white adhesive off the aluminum tread plate? Be for sure he should be better qualified? Man things are going south in Appleton Wi?

I don't care WHAT he sounds like-if you want to know the pars of a truck go to the website and build one. You won't have to hear his voice and no one on RU-vid will trash your fire truck or how you explain what is on it.

The Quint is a bean counters idea to save money, but the concept in many cases fails upon implimentation. The rig carries a minimal amount of engine and truck tools and equipment. For example, they never carry enuogh ground ladders. In this case with staffing of 4 you have insufficient manpower to carry out engine OR truck operations, let alone BOTH. Engine and truck operations are separate and distinct. Each has specialized knowledge and skills that need to be constantly trained on. Combining the two positions means less proficiency in both. Real truck companies don't carry water, hose or have a pump.

That's only your opinion. A small fire department may not need both an engine and a truck or ladder company. Some fire departments like having the option of having a pump and tank on their ladder trucks just in case if they're engine is already on a call and they get a call for a structure fire and arrive on scene first they would be able to fight the fire without having to wait on an engine.

@@equipment-enthusiast Thank you for that correct comment -your points are quite correct. Chris - IF your department trains the way they SHOULD not the way YOU think they ought to be then there won't be a problem. I worked 4 man rigs for quite a while and we got the job done across-rescue fire etc. In fact Chris I am willing to bet my old crew on Truck 46 can MATCH and beat any crew YOU served with or can name. We were firefighters who DID THE JOB.
