I love how Pdogg mentioned how frustrating that trend is to make shorter songs. I genuinely hate this american trend to make everything shorter and digestable. Songs under 3-4 minutes almost feel like teasers and not complete songs anymore. I am so glad BTS has a lot of longer songs and gives each memeber his time to shine. I will never get tired of their songs so the more there is the happier I am :))
Agreed! I really wish songs would get longer again, but sadly everything in the us pop market has to be super short and fast-paced. I know people were pretty divided with ON but I really appreciated that it was a somewhat longer song
@@acelikeathena7153 I sometimes feel like - especially with USA pop songs is, that they dumb it down so much. Often times they just repeat the chorus 15 times and add forgettable bridges. Also most USA pop albums are just completely focused on the single and completely neglect the b-sides. That's one of the main reasons why I am such a buge fan even before I fully knew what "ARMY even was. I accidentally stumbled across BTS Danger in 2014 on YT and I was so intruiged by the style and choice of verses and bridges. The whole Dark&Wild album blew me away after I first listened because almost every song was so well crafted they could have released it as single. Barely any artist nowadays embraces the art of songwriting and the composition of whole albums but BTS and their team have always crafted their songs with love and appreciation of the art of making music. I appreciate all of them very much. (don't get me wrong they can do whatever they want and release 2:45 min songs in baby shark style but I am certain they won't ever stop making well crafted songs and albums at the end of the day - best example is releasing Dynamite back to back with "BE" - the contrast is still hilarious to me)
Yes! I hope BTS continues to make the songs as they wish to show each member’s charms 💜 We love it all. Although I thought Butter is the perfect length ✨ but Young Forever was too short 😅
@@anniex8651 Yeah I totally get what you mean, unfortunately a large majority of US pop songs are focused on just having something simple, catchy, and ridiculously repetitive to get stuck in people's heads and there's very rarely a middle ground between meaningful but un-hyped ballad type songs and these monotonous radio-friendly songs. Also, even though western artists tend to "comeback" (though they don't use that term of course) less frequently and usually with longer albums, I don't really think the quality of all of the album tracks live up to the extra time taken to make them most of the time. I do appreciate that there are often multiple singles released from one album and these singles sometimes have a bit more thought put into them but I agree, they rarely think of the album as a whole piece of unified art. I don't think that's a problem exclusive to US pop though, and a lot of artists in kpop are guilty of having too many random filler tracks on their albums as well, in my opinion. Although there are exceptions in both pop fields of course! Like BTS, of course. The boys and their whole team really put so much thought into their albums -- from the overall concepts to the, careful production choices, interesting song structures (I remember I was also so pleasantly surprised by Danger when I first heard it!!), meaningful lyrics and storytelling, multimedia artistry through choreo and visuals, AND catchy melodies/production. Not every song does all of those things, of course, but almost all of them do at least a few and I really respect and adore the amount of effort they put into their whole discography. (Side note, but I saw some Armys saying that one of the purposes of these English releases might be to stall until corona ends so they can tour/conclude their MotS era before releasing a new album series, which makes sense to me -- I feel like they had so much more planned for MotS)
My fave thing is RM standing in the middle of the R and M when the others were making 'ARMY'. He's such a core part of ARMY but also BTS that it feels fitting that his name is the core of our name. You can't spell ARMY without RM!
@@himaririku9254 oh hi there, again! U are here even😆 i'm convinced that you r a closet fan.. u r in every single BTS related video, even more so than actual ARMY..
@@sparkygirl266 It feels like lately all the shine in their songs is on JK and Jimin and honestly I am getting frustrated with it (JK and Jimin solo stans better not come at me by me saying this!)I want to see other members too, ESPECIALLY the rap line cuz they don’t get enough credit at all
@@sparkygirl266 you make it sound like bts members are forced to do whatever given to them. they make songs together. just how many times bts have to say that themselves for fans to trust them.
@@meepo21 right? They keep acting as if bts themselves haven’t told us COUNTLESS of times that THEY decide which member suits the parts of the songs they release
BTS really grew with them.. not just literally, but in every sense whether artistically, musically, in creativeness and maturity. they really watched bangtan flourished. 🥺
We’ve loved watching them grow as artists, I can’t imagine how amazing it has for these individuals who have been an essential part to their career, pretty much every step of the way with them, to see them grow before their eyes. I’m glad they’ve had the same staff with them for so long
@@cindyyoung3994 you mean, praising him in front of camera? Because we never know what happens behind the scenes. He might have or have not praised him behind the scenes
I totally agree that Jin suits Butter well and I can’t take my Eyes off him. His beautiful Visual and his expressions is amazing in this Song.We want to see Jin singing and dancing in the Center more
to be honest, this is the best reaction video i've ever watched so far. comments from pdogg's and sung-deuk's point of view are so informative. we can also learn from the expert here. they explained the background of the recording and the choreography process. they also told us the challenge that they face to deliver the song because its duration is too short. I hope lee hyun do this kind of reaction for more videos of hybe artists too.
Seriously, this needs to be a new segment or something, and yes, with alcohol. I feel like they would be fun blokes doing reaction videos. I hope they react to TXT new MVs as well. Edit: Hope they react to Hybe artists since they are a lot now. Producer's , artists/colleague's and choreographer's POVs.
Yes! I hope someone translates the comments and just tell them to react to new releases and give us their POV on it, it’s so interesting and enjoyable!
9:39 thank you Mr. Son your praises on Jin for showing off great charm in Butter and acknowedging that that he has many dancing parts and a lot of important points in the song. Yes, it's about time. Also glad and appreciate that Jin had a decent line distribution in PTD and his performance was amazing (da na na na na na na and belting at his line of "we don't need to worry").
And I feel like it's not only BTS that are thriving, but also the producers, other artists, staff, etc. That's exactly what a good work environment does. You still work hard, but it's like a flow and growth, and you can feel it in every video that Lee Hyun did so far if that makes sense.
You know the proud look they have towards BTS. They literally watched BTS grow. It makes me cry. The parents that BTS will always be grateful of. They raised BTS. 😭😭
@@baekhyuneee_ I know... But whenever Jin get less lines everyone will start saying give more lines, why so less lines to Jin... They go crazy... One time armys send bus with Jin's pic for protest in front of their company... That's why I'm telling
Love the behind the scene stories and throwbacks. Also, I agree. WWH Jin's aura was so noticeable in the video. I'm living for it. Love all of them. It's amazing how their wardrobe show so much difference. The suits gave sexy vibes while the gym clothes gave made them look so young and cute. UwU
Son Sung-Deok: “The ARMY move wasn’t supposed to be done this funny in the original choreography.. It was supposed to just look natural but the members said, "If we're going to do it, let's do it properly!".... The members also planned the the glances and all of that... They did it themselves.” 💜🥺
What a wonderful review! It’s so interesting to get the professional opinion of people who actually work with BTS and have seen them grow over the years. I totally agree with Pdogg that the rap line has so much more to offer and should be given the room to showcase their skills. Also, how lovely are their reflections and stories from back in the day? Thank you for sharing and for being such a supportive senior, Lee Hyun!
I LOVE HOW THEY REALLY TELLING PERSPECTIVE LIKE WHAT ARMY ALSO WANTED AND NOTICED, KIM SEOKJIN MORE LINES AND SCREEN TIME, THE NEW LOGO! ITS FUN TO SEE THEM WHO ARE THE ACTUAL SOME PEOPLE BEHIND BTS, THANK YOU HOPE FOR MORE BTS REACTIONS
@PRECIOUS ohh stop for us he is like baby but doesn't mean we are babying him we saw jungkook since 13 years and bighit staff saw jk since he is child and even now they think jk is little baby and saying he grew up well
i think all big hit's staff and artists are so transparent to each other that's why they can say anything they want without us the viewers feeling that it's scripted. everything are so natural and honest. 💜💜💜💜
Loved PDogg's explanation for why people end up liking Butter more than Dynamite and it ofcourse makes sense. It's like Dynamite walked so Butter could fly
They must be so, so proud. Their performance director and producer have been with them since debut-- I can't even imagine how they feel. As an ARMY, I'm so glad that they have staffs who have been with them from the beginning who love and support our BTS members as if they were their children. 💜
"if you listen to their other songs, you can feel the personalities of each of the members" EXACTLY!!!! My TOP 3 songs from BTS' discography are usually B-sides. Right now, I'm listening to Paradise, Dead Leaves & House of cards ALOT !!!
And I'm listening to 4oclock, bicycle, ugh, butter and look here these days a lot! I love these songs alot 🥺 Also please listen to 'the truth untold'... I never cried that much listening to any song... I didn't even read the translations then 😭
Woooow. The fact that Mr. Son and Pdogg were with them when they first started, never left them when things were rough and look at them all now, truly, teamwork, loyalty and hardwork will never betray a person. Kudos!! 💜
This is lowkey the most entertaining reaction to a BTS MV. Sure hope to see more coming, even if you guys are really busy as well with your work. Fighting!
the fact that they have been with bts since the start of their career is making me tear up they really made this far and making everyone proud of their achievement they deserved it all so much look how proud they are :((
Oh yeah i cry every time because I’m reminded of him saying how he was so intimidated by the tall buildings and wide roads when he first came out to Seoul 🥺
@@btsluvcore I couldn't agree more. But in their debut album, i think he still a bit shy and still trying to find his own style. For me, his true colour really bloomed in HYYH era.
@@hanna-hn4ri he was best since no more dream no offense but I recommend u watch the dance practice videos also and all videos of him he tries his best from start and he is a acting major girl other members have dancing history but jin doesn't have seeing that he was best since start!!😭💜💜
exactly!!!! almost all of my favorite bts songs are over 4 minutes or nearly 5 minutes long (rain, the stars, let go, lights, tear, magic shop, the cyphers, moving on, autumn leaves, etc) because, despite our love for scaring the music industry by playing their game better than them lol, we're here for the music first and foremost no matter what!
They finally recognizing our Seokjinnie! Son Sung-deuk: The member who inproved greatly and showed off great charms in Butter is SEOKJIN! He has a lot of dancing parts and he delivers. Producer Pdogg: He goes really well wiyh this song too.
@@bucket9805 well, fact is, not actually all people's bias is namjoon, or suga, or jhope, or jm, or v, or jk as well even tho the members really appreciate him, jin knew that in most things, others members are really good at something than him (I think he mentioned this in a talk show, the reasonnwhy he never imposes on them.) dont worry, honestly, every member is appreciated (sadly being hated too) just dont dwell too much on this kind of thing like recognition or improvement
@@bucket9805 true. They think Jin sings and dances was not good, so he deserved to get only few lines in song, he deserved to delete the dance part in the "On" second version video, its all Jin's fault. And they also said, if Jin was mistreated why he signed the contact with BH for so many years.
our boys have naturally perfected their synergy and that's absolutely wonderful to witness 🥺🥺 never thought i would get to see pdogg and ssd like this, thank you!! 💛
2:29 I died! Cute-Sonyeondan!😂😂😂 Oh my god! I am happy that Lee Hyun brought the 2 precious people who are always behind of every BTS' success. Hats off to Pdogg pd-nim and Dance Director Son and also precious Sunbae Lee Hyun(cute 83-liners😍) ❤. Thanks for taking care and guiding them well!
Yes, that's what happened when Jin given chance to show his charms whether vocal, dance or screentime..he definitely will charm you with his whole existence. The man is freaking charming & talented. 💜 Hope for more of Butter-like era. 💜
I love hearing the opinions of Son Sung-deuk and Pdogg. They've worked so closely with BTS throughout their career, so they have so much insight to offer.
To be honest, this was such a cute reaction video. I had fun, really fun. I don't know why but there were parts where I felt touched because some of the parts kinda shows how Hybe isn't just a company, they are a family. This shows how much they cared for our boys, how they helped them, how they saw BTS' improvement through the years, the vocals, synchronization, everything. Thank you for believing in BTS. Without the company members, these men who are my main source of happiness wouldn't be in the industry right now. 🥺💖
what pdogg said was so true about not being able to show each member's talent and skills individually but it's crazy how a short song like butter actually did a pretty good job in showcasing their individual talents
@@ghuleh969 Half of their discography is literally rapline heavy. People used to complain the vocal line arent getting many lines. Why are you complaining let them do what they want
@@myouniverse0613 exactly!!!! ofc i'd love to listen to all of them equally, but they clearly shifted from extremely rap heavy songs to more vocal dominated songs, but throughout their discography on average they've all been able to shine.
so the army part of butter wasn't actually supposed to be in the choreography but the members insisted to add us in it and planned it together.. I'm not crying you are-
it WAS part of the choreo, but it was meant to be pulled off in a subtle, cooler way but the boys decided to take the comedic route to properly show the ARMY alphabets
