Why does that make you happy. That just means the game is just totally dead in korea to the point that here are No new players at all Allowing people who took 2 year break to still be top talents just because there are no new talents to replace them.
@@trstnhn but also, herO and Cure have been back at the game longer than they’ve been away from it! I personally wouldn’t credit their performance to mere lack of competition.
TvT last game was so sick, Maru making magic happen with a crazy comp. Cure didn't want a repeat of G1 and got aggressive with bio multiprong but couldn't close out... such a good game.
Maruuuuuuu, ma boi!! You did it! You did it again! Congrats, you magnificent shy little bastard. Well done, you've made me happy :) Time to train for 9SL now, hehe. Amazing work, enjoy! And btw, good thing it wasn't Stats at the finals. He would've whoop yo ass haha
Serral & Reynor need to enter the GSL so we can really see who's the best of the best, on Maru's home turf. Obviously Serral has better performances Internationally, but in Korea, it's all about Maru. I just wanna see a foreigner make it to the GSL Finals then have either Maru as a final boss, or Dark. Really sucks that TY went to Starcraft Brood War, we'll never know who was actually the TvT GOAT without another TY vs Maru rematch in the Finals.
I look forward to see how Reynor performs next season or Astrea. But let's be honest GSL is now a crowdfunded second tier tournament. Why would for example Serral travel for a few months to Korea to win some change? The prestige and prize pool of this tournament lies in the past. I think this is why we will probably never see Serral in Korea. Ad TY he obviously had Maru's number that's for sure. My fav terran ever.
Maru, my boy, you have always been destined for greatness and no one can deny you your destiny, not even that usurper Serral. Maru, my boy, you must take back what is rightfully yours from that Zerg imposter.
Maru and Hero have funny little interactions after their championship matches. Last time Maru grabs Hero and shakes him, this time Hero raises his fist at Maru. Maru is always so stone faced but not with Hero
This has to have been one of the best seasons of GSL in awhile! Every game since the R16 was amazing! Great casting too, i enjoyed State from the start but seems like they have really clicked now and hes more comfortable. Cant wait for S2!!
These are prolly my favorite Starcraft vods.. great casting simply the best tbh comedy/entertainment and the game play was awesome, not the usual bullshit macro long games.
I loved Maru before it was cool! Plays like no one else. Aggression, risk, game sense and flexibility. He is the best. The Terran, the 4th race, our guy Maru!!!
When you watch Maru doing stuff between matches, like drinking water, does it look his fingers can't straighten all the way out? Is that from too many years of playing??
Those are units or structures you would build by standard in different types of scenarios like counterattack defense with sentries or shield batteries. Getting a couple of obs for scouting the opponent´s tech and army movement, can also be considered as an organic unit decision. 99 of 100 other players would´ve done it the same way, maybe because its the best known reaction to what you face against from the other side. It also is the case that you cannot execute certain builds without having a special tech and/or unit . Try executing a 4-gate blink without building a twilight council or just any build (except 15-probe worker rush) without warping in the most organic building for P, the first pylon. And things you always do on auto-pilot are "organic" actions, like breathing. Take your personal Hotkey settings, when did you really have to remind yourself what key to press to do something?
@@igit_7296 Dark is the exception to that rule, because his style of play results in build decisions, that most other Zerg would consider as unorganic or at least questionable. A "normal move for Dark" means most likely "First you put yourself behind on purpose and then force the coinflip and take the game regardless" kind of move for the "standard" Zerg. The "standard" way is only played by a quite tiny amount of Zergs. Overall, this only means just all Zerg players, that aren´t Dark himself. Thats how Out of the box he plays in general, but he is also very capable to play like the rest if needed. But it already feels weird to watch him play like not being Dark. Cant even imagine how strange it feels for him to play apart from his own way...
Happy sc2 still exists! Pity I was in Korea just after Artosis left and the show took a financing hit, so there weren't any offline matches for the ro16 in the studio :'( And watching this now I really miss the banter that happened all the time between Tasteless&Artosis, and the special energy of their casting. I think carrying on online casting with those two would have been cool... Nowadays the commentary is a bit stale and just pure technical, no fun intermissions about how Tasteless ate too much Korean BBQ last night, or stuff like that...sad... P.S. It's 100% why I still watch LagTV - two v.good old friends going off topic on random funny silly stuff is pure gold :) Sc2 itself is kind of boring by now, we need more fun in a show..
That was awesome but PvT really can look so rubbish. Can count on one hand the times I remember seeing a P win 'quickly' Vs Cure or Maru. Her0 had to roll dice to get the big W. Feels like I can guess who won just by looking at the length of the vod. GG.
Why did they ruin the finals by doing 2 mirror matches in semi? It was clear Hero would win against Stat but Stats had a way better chance of winning against Maru
i love it when maru wins every GSL and no one complains and everyone is so excited about maru keep making GSL history, but when serral wins everything else and makes actual esports history everyone complains and keeps asking zerg nerfs regardless of every other zerg player strungling.
Every other zerg player like Rogue, Dark, Reynor struggled so hard so only zerg dominated premier tournaments for only a decade now Jesus, grow a brain
Maru thinks he is lucky because Serral went to the army, but he will get blasted to pieces by Clem in any big tournament outside of Korea now that Serral is not there to crush him himself.
Serral still won’t do a long form tournament against top tier competition like GSL. Part of his greatness relies on the fact that Zerg can play reactionary and fares far better in single weekend tournaments where you don’t get time to prepare for a single opponent. To be the undisputed goat Serral needs to win a regular GSL tournament. Not a GSL vs the World, not a GSL Super Tournament. Regular GSL. I hope he does it one day because it’s what everyone would want to see.
Maru up 2-1, video is almost over, so you know he wins 4-1. What a waste. It's been 25 years and you still refuse to put anti spoiler time at the end of the videos.
