The Surrey Fusion Festival was held on July 22 and 23, 2023, at the Holland Park located in the city of Surrey. The festival was first held in 2008, and this year's festival is the 16th. Surrey is the 2nd largest city by population (after Vancouver) and the 3rd largest by area in the province of British Columbia. Surrey is also the 11th largest city of Canada.
This year's festival had 48 pavilions from 48 communities living in this province. It was not a major multicultural festival in Canada. Compared to the festival of the same type (Edmonton Heritage Festival) organized in the City of Edmonton in neighboring province of Alberta, this festival of Surrey was smaller.
