Nicolas, this is an amazing series. I have watch them all twice and learned more each time. You explain things so well and especially was shocked by how the feathering radius can be used to refine a drawn mask. Thank you for your work in producing these videos.
Excellently explained. I sometimes use a circular or elliptical mask with only the feathered section impinging on the image. For example; if the top corner of the image needs an exposure lift. Thank you.
Yes, well done Nicolas - and thank you. I am surprised at how much I found that I DIDN'T know about even the most basic use of masks, and how many questions were raised in my mind, for example, about the multiplicity of opacity controls in a single module (3 at least in Exposure) and how they interact. Any chance that this , rather focused, topic will be covered in future episodes?
Very well explained. Thank you. May I suggest you use a mouse highlighter, so that those of us who are getting on in age can follow the mouse movements? Or alternatively make the mouse cursor larger. I don't know about other OSs, but a mouse highlighter is built in with Windows and is free to use.
Hi can you help me please. If I apply multiple circles as you did in this video my darktable seems to group them all together so I can't manipulate them individually for different effects on each circle. Thanks for you help.
